Have you had that session where she talks about her perosnal problems til the last 10 minutes?
I'm never sure what to say.
I think I'm a reasonable person, but 10 minutes isn't enough.

Sure, happens occasionally.  Especially "wilting" when talking about sick parents, their kids, nasty boyfriend, etc.

My impression is that if you go back to the same provider, the behavior will repeat.  Comes with the provider's attitude on life, not event driven.

If you are stuck on what to say. This is a little something that may work and not make you feel like your not a caring guy.

Simply state " That must be very difficult"...or
"That must have been hard for you"...

"maybe some playtime will get your mind off things for now"... or
"but is it okay if we play now?"

It may be a tackful way out of an uncomfortable situation. Basically acknowledge and try to move on.
Hope that helps,
J.L.

same thing happened to me, recently, except I paid for 2 hours and got 15 minutes of playtime.

Nice, Jai.
I experienced this one time where it looked like there was gonna be NO playtime! :-0
So I said, "It's been so nice talking to you. I'm sure you have things to do, but before I go, could you help a brother out?" and just presented the little man.  She did snap out of it enough to take care of biz, so at least it wasn't a total wash.  But close call!
