hey hey

so guys: what do u need/want to see in an ad?

what's the bare minimum?

phone?
email?
rates?
menu? detailed menu?
do-s/don't-s?
location?
photo(s)?
description of provider/services?
homepage?
FaNcY FoNt?

do u guys like the paragraph of info or do u just skim to the important stuff (like hourly fee)?

maybe some of us can use the info to help market ourselves in a way that is ideal for you gents!
your input always helps!

I am not sure if I am in the minority or majority but here is my input.  Ads have become somewhat of a commodity these days.  If you asked this question 12 years ago it would have been more relavent but now all ads look the same.  So for me, I look BEYOND the ad.  "What does that mean?"  - GREAT QUESTION, LET ME EXPLAIN...

I will let an ad serve as a mere interest to me.  From there I do my research on the person I am interested in.  So personally, I exclude anyone who doesnt appeal to me and personally I hate girls that OVERDO the TATOOS.  Next, I will go back through TER board post history and look at her board postings.  If she is a total bitch or she acts immature or is argumentative, I STAY TF AWAY.  If other hobbyist's dispute her rankings, I STAY AWAY.  Why should I spend time with someone with a bad attitude - especially if I am paying for her time.

Anyway, thats just my .02 but thanks for asking Mila!

OS

But u didnt mention what it is that draws your first interest? I'm assuming it's the photo? So it seems like for u a photo may be needed to spark your interest or is it something else that the ad does to draw interest to motivate you to do homework?

Guys are visual so it is a photo.  What really sucks is when the provider has a bunch of things that I find to be a turn-off airbrushed out.  I would say be honest with the photos or it could end up biting you in the butt.

Agreed.  If a girl has lots of freckles, don't photoshop them out.  If a girl has stretchmarks or cellulite, don't photoshop them away.  And if a girl has tattoos, don't erase them in photoshop.  (The exception is the provider who does not show her face, and wants to hide tattoos so that she cannot be identified by them with Uncle Leo.  In this case, I see no problem with her photoshopping out the tattoos, but adding a note in her Ad with a general description of the size and location of the ink, so gents aren't fooled into thinking she's ink-free.  Of course, I'd never book a girl who didn't show her face anyway, but I'm just sayin', if I was open to booking a girl w/o face pics, I would not have a problem with her hiding her tatts, as long as she tipped me off to their existence and coverage size and area.)

Matt

ps~There's a provider who advertises on another site, the most blatantly photoshopped photos I've ever seen posted by a provider.  She slims her body down, smooths the skin on her face, and erases all her freckles.  What boggles my mind, is that one day another provider posted pics from a recent party and I saw this girl untouched by photoshop...and she was adorable!  Gorgeous, I might even say.  Okay, not a total hardbody like her tampered-with photos would suggest, but still, very GND hot.

So mila, this reminds me of a suggestion I have for Ads.  Mix it up a bit between pro pics (un-tampered-with), and casual non-pro shots (as long as they're not too grainy and/or poorly lit).  The guys I know like seeing both (not necessarily in the same Ad), but if they had to choose just one type, they'd choose the non-pro pics.

speaking of photos, i will tell you what totally turns me off..

stupid self-taken cameraphone shots in the mirror.  it just smacks od cheapness and laziness.  i have no problems w/low tech phone photos, but at least put the effort into having a friend take them.

a shot of a girl taking her own pic in the mirror just looks like you don't care enough about your own brand to put any effort into your marketing; it's super-amateurish.

just sayin'...

how would one go about hiding a tattoo with a name? as to not be misleading?

as i do with my tattoos i don't want showing.
no need to edit things out, jut pose so u hide what u want to hide.

just like the girls who hide their rolls, age or sagging in photos by posting just so.

...long enough to cover everything, but short enough to make it interesting.

I will get everything else from the website and reviews before I contact you. I will never contact someone just from an ad. So why have so much info on an ad? The ad just beeds to intice me enough to look into you further.
I realize other guys might feel different, but thats my opinion.
