Last Saturday a friend of mine and member of this board passed away. He suffered a massive heart attack and died within 10 minutes, before paramedics arrived at the home of friends he was visiting.
Larry was a tennis player and, although a smoker, thought he was in good health. He was 60 when he died. The autopsy indicated that his arteries were clogged.
Larry posted as Lencho. (Lencho is Larry in Spanish; he learned Spanish many years ago as a member of the Peace Corps.) Because he was very open about his lifestyle (and also because of our conversations) I feel comfortable in making this announcement.
Larry was a historian and a person with a keen interest in politics. We spent many enjoyable hours debating these and related subjects—-as well as comparing notes about out experiences with providers we've seen.
I am not from San Diego but do visit. I am sorry to hear about your friend. I do hope you will keep visiting the boards here and in all the cities Donna
Oh no - this is horrible news. I don't come here often but just happened to see this. I've seen him only twice over the last four years but we've exchanged many e-mails and he was just a lovely, lovely man. I am very saddened to hear this.
