I know SD has incredible courses. Torrey Pines... Aviara, La Jolla Country Club etc..... Is there any lower profile courses you enjoy? I have a straight game, but short stroke. (As far as golf goes, hehehe) But I'm working on it.

If you can stand the heat, Steel Canyon and Mt. Woodson are a great course.  The Auld Course is a classic links course.  All three reward accuracy over distance.  I like those courses, but they are tough for me because if you have a long driver, you always want to us it even when it may not be smart to do so.

Try Pala Mesa--It is Short and you must be Straight!

My favorite course is Encinitas Ranch.... beautiful views of the ocean from several holes, and much easier to get a tee time than Torrey. Wanna play? ;)

The Meadows at Del Mar is a great course. It is very women friendly with the tees.

I like Barona a lot. I think it is one of the top 3 courses in San Diego. I play there quite often...but then again, I get comped because of my gambling play.

According to how you explain your game you might try Fallbrook C.C. and San Luis Rey C.C. they are both in the North County area. Fallbrook is a narrow and somewhat short layout and rewards an accurate player and is very reasonable price wise. San Luis Rey is longer and does as well reward an accurate player especially around the well trapped greens, a well manicured course. Pala Mesa is a beautiful place to play golf and there Sunday Brunch is outstanding! If you ever need another player in the afternoon or weekend drop me a line and maybe we can play a round together sometime.

Arrowood is a new course in Oceanside.  Managed by JC Resorts.  Greens are very quick and the course is in great shape.  Best of all it is very reasonable for the quality or the course.  GTD.....you will be impressed for the $$$.

Don't have a favorite course but I love watch you line up a putt.
