In the past not many guys like CBJ. But with all the new products out it's a lot easier both ways. No one should mind if you ask. You must be well read to know that way is better.
Considering a girl with a simple cold sore could give you genital herbes. You can also get strep, yeast and a number of other stds. The mouth is actually dirtier then the gentitals. This is another reason why not many will deep kiss.
That is why it's also best to see one provider you enjoy, if possible.

Because I'm particularly anxious to avoid bringing any STDs home to my s.o., I prefer CBJs to BBBJs.  As a provider, would it bother you if I requested this particular approach?

feel free to let any Provider you see know that that is your preference (even if you choose a lady who offers BBBJ).

I once asked for a cover and was given a "what you don't think I'm clean" look by the provider. I think she was actually insulted believe it or not. It kind of ruined the mood of a session that had otherwise gotten off to a great start. I'm sure this is not the norm though and perhaps most providers would prefer to use a cover and be safe if given the option. Anyway, my suggestion is to express your preference BEFORE you get started in the act so that the provider is prepared and there are no misunderstandings.

When I started in this hobby over 10 years ago you would hardly ever found a provider willing to do BBBJ...everything was protected. Sometimes I wonder why the providers are more open to unsafe practices nowadays. Imagine, just one infected provider or hobbyist could start a chain reaction that could potentially affect many others down the line. AIDS is still around as are many other nasty diseases. So why aren't more of us concerned? Hmmmmmmmm..any thoughts???

Personally I suck at CBJ's because I hate the taste of condoms (flavored or not).....there's just no comparison to the natural flavor and touch of lips on skin.

You would definitely need to pass on me if I ever toured San Diego.  :)

This is a great opportunity to put out the question... who is at risk with a BBBJ?  As it seems, the provider is taking the risk by ingesting "fluids"...   It seems safe for a client either way...  Why don't more providers request this precaution?  Any thoughts?

There have been several fairly recent studies -that have concluded after many years of gathering information on the subjects tha tOral Is only a ngligible risk if the proper protocol is followed. There is still a concern thought about herpes, warts and several bacterial issues as well as syphillis. here  are the linkds to the San Fran Study that made major news headlines last febuary and a couple of others with information and guidelines. Below is a section from a brochure handed out primarily in the gay community.
In addition to the suggetions you find here Listerine breath strips kill bacteria and increase sensation AND duration.
gly-oxide or similar product is preferable in taste to most people than the straight peroxide rinse and is better at getting  the area s between the teeth and gums.

Know your oral health. Know what's going on inside your own mouth. If you just bit you lip or your cheek, avoid oral sex until it's healed. Did you just burn your mouth with hot food? Did you eat a bag of corn chips and tear your gums? Avoid the semen or vaginal secretions of an infected partner until you've healed. Also, don't perform oral sex on a man or woman with HIV immediately after brushing or flossing your teeth. If your gums are bleeding or tender, you increase the chance of transmission that way. If this is a recurring problem, talk to a dentist and get checked for gingivitis, a common gum disease. Good oral health and hygiene reduce the risk of HIV and sexually transmitted disease transmission. Cuts, abrasions and bleeding are red flags. And by the way, cleaning your mouth out with hydrogen peroxide may be preferable to using mouthwash. Most mouthwashes contains alcohol and may irritate your mouth. Or you can also simply place a condom on the penis. Try the unlubricated, flavored ones.

For oral-vaginal sex (yes, cunnilingus), consider using a dental dam (a square of latex sold at some drugstores, medical supply places and adult shops) or just buy some plastic wrap at the grocery store. Tear off a sheet, place it over the vagina and do business as usual. Remember that vaginal secretions do contain HIV, and it increases when menstrual blood is present.

Avoiding vaginal secretions or semen/pre-cum in the mouth or using a condom for oral sex will certainly lower the risk of HIV transmission and the risk for other sexually transmitted diseases as well. Here are specific circumstances that increase an individual's risk:

cuts, abrasions or infections in the mouth or throat.
vigorous, prolonged oral sex: "deep-throating."
mouth or throat trauma caused by a large number of partners in a short period of time.

Thank you for the reference links and your response.  I appreciate the time you took to share the information.  Very informative and helpful.  Sincerely...

Because the market demands it you are willing to put yourself and your client at risk? I for one have avoided certain providers specifically becuase of high risk behaviors I have seen written up in reviews. Maybe I'm the lone person out here who feels this way, but personally I would feel more comfortable getting intimate with some who erred on the side of safety rather than someone who consistently pushed the envelope. Becuase even if the risk of transmission is low, the more you do something the better chance the odds will finally catch up with you. Just my two cents...

No, I don't. I made a conscious decision regarding BBBJ's and feel the risk is so low (to the men, particularly) and quite low for us. I also decided to be very low-volume, or part-time, and am rather selective in my clients.
I am not a Provider full time as I own a business and am building another.
Any time I see fit, I cover. I don't CIM, either. After each date, I rinse with a Peroxide type mouth rinse and have very good oral hygiene.
I also have a personal life partner, so am careful about my risks for his sake.
I think it's interesting that we go over and over and over this topic - BJ's - and hardly ever do you see any discussion about anal, rimming, or having sex while on their period - ALL of which I DEFINITELY don't and WON'T do, regardless of market 'demand'.
And again, if a client wants a CBJ, he knows how to speak..

The best way to avoid disease is to play with a partner that is disease free.

I am still shocked at the number of providers/hobbyists that believe once in six months is a fine time to test when they subject themselves to high risk sexually activity on a monthly basis.

Hobbying is high risk sexual behavior.

I'm still testing once a month as it is still not six months since I've ceased serial dating.

I may have participated in what one considered higher risk behavior, however I was in for testing, and by that I mean every orafice, every possible test, including chlamydia oral, gonnorhea(sp?) oral, anal, the works, MONTHLY to make certain that I was DISEASE FREE.

I never had symptoms other than once in a while I might have had a simple sore throat due to a cold.

This and I didn't date often at all. Average of four dates a MONTH. Even if I had only one date in the month I went in for that monthly series of testing.

It's the ONLY way to be certain one is playing it safe.  TEST TEST TEST.

Thank You for brnging this subject up, its the first time I've ever checked out this Message Board thing, Cool!  as faar as the unsafe encounters go, (I have checked out the reviews from time to time) what suprized me the most was the fact that some of the highest ratings went to providers that used unsafe practices?  It really made me think about just where you guys are in your head? (One of them obviously doesnt think to clearly?) Nevermind the Loved ones you may or may not go home to afterwards? I try my best to incorporate both safety and pleasure at the same time, albiet it may not feel as good as the "unsafe way" but at least your not going to ever experience a nasty unwanted suprize later on down the road either.  Take care guys and Play Safe will you, also I might ad that these practices place girls like me in a peculliar place, in that I myself have felt the pressure to preform in unsafe ways, just because other providers are doing it ( And "You" guys just love it?To Death...Trying to find Heaven are you?) your looking in the wrong direction, and the reality is the awnser is right in front of your very eyes...keep looking shes out there somewhere.(Sorry so Long..not used to writing these things) Take care guys, gotta love ya anyways...  Kayla
