Actually, since it's a minimum of $24K (two days minimum), you could get only 60-80 encounters with your favorite provider.

I just wanted to clarify that the photos I had up before retiring (or "vanishing" as you put it) were my photos as are the photos you see presently on my web site.
I met with the reporters from both Slate.com and Salon.com personally and they not only checked with my university to see that I was really a grad student there but also verified in their articles that the photos were genuine and of me.
I do like people like you though who maintain that I was an urban legend because it just keeps the mystery up. And then there are the few people (all it takes) who have to hire me to find out for themselves that indeed I really do exist and the hype isn't just all hype.

Yes, you are right. People buy very expensive things because they can, not necessarily because they are more practical. Of course, high quality is required buy those who purchase these items, but you can get high quality at lower prices. The point is, buying high quality only goes so far. After that you are buying prestige or uniqueness or something else more esoteric.
People ask me, "Why do you drive such an expensive car? You can get a great handling sports car at much lower prices! You get more features at lower prices! Yes, a guy will "buy" a Bentley. If he thinks he is buying the best, the poor guy needs to learn a thing or two about cars. Odds are, if he can afford the Bentley, he probably has several other vehicles in the garage also.
The point that I would like to make, is that he "buys" the Bentley. He does not rent it. Some rich people simply think that if it is the most expensive, it must be the best. That is obviously not the case in most instances.
