short time-outs over board posts that had escalated into uncharted territory for me, but I didn't even know you could be penalized over PM activity.  I guess I will have to finally get around to reading the rules.  Lol       That's a heck of a long banishment.  Must have been egregious.  

I read the rules, they seem like they're not exactly enforced 100% seriously. I'm not sure if this is because the mods can't be bothered because they're too busy to nitpick, or if they just let us have some fun now and again.

to be pretty flexible with the posting "rules."  However, there is definitely a line in the sand somewhere.  You just don't know exactly where until AFTER you have crossed it (lol), but I'd rather see it that way than a policy so strict that it borders on censorship.  Just my own take.  Most of the time-outs I've had were just 24 hours, and the morning after, when I look at it from their perspective of me being a party to a flame war, I probably had it coming.  I have to say in all honesty that I would have put me in time-out too if I was in charge.  Lol    Generally, I think if its entertaining and no ones getting beat up too badly, they let the threads run their course.  

Did he mention any thing about fake reviews?  You must be able to read beteeen the lines or have inside information or have a crystal ball.

I feel the board moderators are pretty tolerant as I have gone overboard in the past with my criticism on TER policies.

not to cross over into censoring legitimate opinions, even if they're critical of our hosts, so I'm in full agreement.  

I just know how to use the search tool and draw a conclusion.
