Gotten a few responses but still open to anyone that wants to "apply". Basically round trip airfare and a shared room at a 4 star hotel on the beach. Of course, for your companionship. Email me ([email protected]) if interested. Sorry guys, this one is just for the ladies....
Let's see here...round trip airfare PLUS 3-4 days with no privacy? All for "free"? Wow, at a total cost of 3-400 bucks (assuming "miles" aren't used for a standby ticket - I mean, you ARE renting a room anyway, right?) - the winning "applicant" can count on an average of 5, maybe even SIX bucks an hour for her time! What a GREAT opportunity.
Obviously, Rugburn has never been to Hawaii or if he did he went with one of those How To See Hawaii on $5.00 a day books. I lived in Maui and I have been going there for 20+ years. I can assure you that the per hour cost could easily be $50.00 an hour and that includes 20 hours of sleeping, eating playing on the beach etc. It is a great deal for providers, especially if they know the hobbyist. It can be a lot of fun and the provider doesn't pay for anything. I spent $10,000.00 on my last excursion there and it didn't take much to spend that sum.
Do a seach on airfares for the next 4 months numbnuts....see that the MINIMUM airfare will be $550 on a respectable airline (ie - United, Hawaiian, etc) and a tell me what deal you can get at the Hyatt Waikiki for a suite that overlooks the ocean for 4 nights...And let's see, I'm working from 8am through 8pm on most nights and taking clients out to dinner with hopefully a couple nights free to myself....so no, the provider doesn't have to go on the sales calls with me...sorry for the confusion on that. Numbnuts...
Probably should drop this entire thread but......hell, I can't resist - hypocrisy tends to just fire me right up! Let me guess.....you're a SALESMAN, right? But hey, if you can con some poor, naive lady with this tale of "generosity", more power to you. The fact is, you're going to stay in your Hyatt "Jr." suite anyway (courtesy of the company expense account), so your only real expense is airfare. Even if $550 is the best you could do (it's not, Travelzoo and Orbitz regularly list r/t Hawaii for $2-300), and even if you limit your time spent to 2 nights (yeah, right), you're still hoping for 40+ hours for the price of two. True, it IS a trip to Hawaii - but if you think it sounds like the perfect "romantic getaway", you must also believe that "dinner with clients" is an absolute BLAST! No offense or insult intended, I just get a bit miffed when I see a scam dressed up like generosity.
