I started out with AMPs.  Didn't know any better, and I cringe when I think of the time and money I wasted there.  Then it was FBSM for a while, and then I too was on a slippery slope drawn into the wonderful vortex of FS.  Right now I'm more comfortable with GFBSM.  The health risks are certainly less, and if the stars align for both of us, the mutual sensual release is fantastic.  And no doubt about it, its a cheaper option.  But I have to say when I cruise the FS listings here and elsewhere, I'm still sorely tempted.  
On another note (just following on from john...'s point, I don't want to be accused of hijacking this thread), I got tested a few weeks ago.  Following the advice given in a thread a while back, I went to the SD County Health and Human Services clinic off Rosecrans.  The staff was great, and the nurse practitioner I saw gave me some really useful general health tips, not just related to sexual health.  Sitting there in the waiting room, I realized that none of us wanted to be there, but sometimes doing the right thing isn't always fun.  On the up side, the $15 fee is very reasonable and they have great movies on a big screen.
