Ya gotta get unconfused 1st, & keep your life as simple as you can.   Is your wife one of those who's going to freak if you want to do something different (which you obviously do)?   If so, confusion resolved, you're gonna do it, just be discreet.  Pay cash, use rubbers, etc.  

Or is she smart, imaginative, and as concerned about your feelings as she is about her own?   Maybe that's a dumb question.

Might be useful to know why she's outta town, but who knows.   I'd recommend sticking with her if ya can, because it just keeps life simpler.
