....sounds like a rookie who did no research:
MISSION VALLEY — San Diego police are looking for a gunman who shot a 46-year-old man at a Mission Valley hotel during a robbery attempt early Wednesday.
Officers were called to the Mission Valley Resort on Hotel Circle South at about 5:45 a.m., police said.
The wounded man had just met a woman, and invited her into his room, police said. She let two men inside and they tried to rob him, the victim told officers.
One of the men fired at the victim, wounding him in the right leg, police said. The woman and her companions left in a dark, two-door Honda.
The gunman was described as Latino, about 30 years old, 5 feet 2 inches tall, thin, with a shaved head. He wore dark blue jogging suit with a hood. The other man was white, 30 years old, 6 feet tall, 240 pounds and wearing black clothes. The woman was white, about 37, 5 feet 8 inches tall, heavyset, and wearing a dark sweater and jeans.
I'd like to know if it was planned elsewhere or did the victim did something to attract attention at or near the hotel. Some information from which those who work in the area could learn something helpful. If anybody reads more about this which gives more facts, please post it.
But it's not always lack of research that can get you into hot water.
A very good friend and client stopped by recently and was a little distant at first. I asked if he was okay and he said he was still a little gun-shy from his last date which went as bad as it could go almost. We spent some time talking about what happened and I can't believe it.
A provider he had seen several times who he knew a lot about from the time spent made a date with him. After chatting we decided the first red flag was that SHE contacted HIM after quite a silence. He went to meet with her and they went along like older times. He mentioned she had thinned but still was great... until they got to the room. that's when shit hit the fan. She circled the room and then went to the bathroom (she had pocketed his pone while circling the room). When exiting the bathroom she empties a can of pepper spray into his face, took his money (the donation) and ran. He tried to stop her and called out for help but she got away. The police came and they came to an understanding that "something" happened but nothing he had liberty to put in a report on (wow, nice cop!). Other guests in nearby rooms had to be evacuated and relocated due to the pepper spray traveling thru the fireplaces into other nearby rooms.
There is no good part really to this story. My friend is still having respiratory issues form the spraying and is saddened by hat happened. He is recovering and realizing that he got very lucky (especially since the hotel room was two rooms and his wallet and other valuables were in the next room). A lot of business and account info was in his phone but he locked it out so even if they charged it, it can't be registered again.
There are a lot of risks with the hobby. It's sad when someone who you KNOW would turn on you and hurt you, abuse your kindness and take a pleasurable thing and associate danger and fear with it.
Not everything is about research. Someone you KNOW and LIKE might flip a switch on day. Sadly, him and I both suspect drugs were a cause of motivation for her attack.
Everyone please play safe.

Goldie, do you know if your client submitted a review on this provider so other hobbyists wont make the same mistake of re-booking with her? Why is she being protected and not outed if she ripped him off and physically hurt him with the pepper spray? I wish this board would be more proactive on immediately reporting bad behavior like this so no one else has to be a victim

He is a seasoned hobbyist. He informed the local area of the event tho she is not on any boards. He could not put in a rip-off review due to not having contact info (his phone was stolen) nor any ads to link to. Don't worry doll. Didn't happen in SD.
However there are cases of rip-offs from SD where someone wasn't what they remembered. I always hate hearing stories like that. It's awful how drugs or dependencies can ruin relationships and reputations.

All this information, as long as, it is fact and not rumor, is helpful, it keeps people on their toes. Let's be careful not to all dive in with secon-third hand info and start a real scare or panic. So far we can use some more responsable adults reporting facts, what they read where and when. Please NO GOSSIP!
Thank You
First: this is not gossip. This is a HORRIBLE fact and experience a wonderful man had to endure. I doubt he utilizes boards for posting but I'll ask if he is interested in posting his two cents.
Second: what would be the purpose of gossip or making this up? I shared a story that I heard word-of-mouth from a client and friend. The story was told to me the same day as this blog went up. The timing was oddly ironic considering just prior I had heard the story of the attack and robbery. To suggest someone's experience I was willing to share is gossip makes me sad. What kind of world do you live in?
Third: everything posted here about his situation is FACT unless for some reason he felt the need to waste a chunk of our session making up a story. Paying 500/hour to practice the art of fantasy and fiction is unlikely and this friend I have known a loooooong time. I believe him and am there for him. I hope you can send some positive energy to him especially since he is still somewhat recovering physically and emotionally.
on the thread. You don't read a page in a book starting at the bottom.
It is not gossip. It is important to post. I changed the wording from heresay to gossip, because a source can be known to be valid as it is to you even if it doesn't meet less flexable rules meant for a different forum. This may have qualified as one but not gossip.
I just didn't want this to get out of hand with stories of stories. After inviting people to contribute more factual information. Enough "I heard that ..." when it's said just to be busy and without a trusted source of facts can get to be believed and needlesly worry people.
Peace Happy Holidays

In a rush to get the last post in, I didn't pay attention to how a post was placed. Which I regret. I can see how this contributes to a misunderstanding of the target of my words. However, a full reading of what I wrote in the thread would very clearly show it wasn't an attack on anybody. A reading of subject headings would lead to that point.
