Why don't you start a BLOG? It's a great way to not only record your thoughts and ideas as you recuperate, but also as you explore the web and find interesting places and people, to discuss them. BLOGs also have a way to having one become lost in them (time) and may help you to relax.
As most of you know, I came down with the 'flu-like' virus that lasted two weeks, just as many of you did.. The very next day, I experienced a familiar pain but way beyond the normal and was sent to the ER. This was Friday, January 2nd. Their first mistake was sending me home, as I was right back four hours later, and admitted to the hospital that evening.
I won't bore you with all the details because we all have our 'hospital stories', but it was an interesting six days in the hospital. They wanted to do surgery on me yesterday, January 9th, but I was too weak, and they felt I would not withstand it well, so they sent me home, and I will rest and regain strength to have the surgery in two weeks, after which, I will recover for 6-8 more weeks.
I receive this forthcoming surgery as a 'mixed bag' of feelings. As far as my health goes, this is something long overdue, and I think the body is saying NOW! I haven't had my usual energy and gusto for months, and I am hoping that this will bring me back, once recovered. I have heard I will not regret it, and will be happy once it is all over. On the other hand, I have worked very hard for many months with my other businesses, obtaining accounts and sponsoring different events, all of which now will either be cancelled, or shifted. I had to close my Online Store temporarily since I can't service my customers. If you're a 'type A' personality, you know how this must feel to close shop. Alas, my family knows the workaholic I am and I am forced to ignore all these things and make myself rest, which goes completely against my nature. Those of us who are driven hard, also fall hard.
I am so deeply touched by the posts on the boards; your caring PM’s, calls and emails. I would love to single out certain individuals, but then I might miss someone, so thank you ALL for your concern – I appreciate it so much. I just have to resign myself that these next couple of months are going to be very different than I had planned, and let Faith prevail.
Please feel free to email, or PM me, but phone calls absolutely exhaust me, and as I am already directing business calls elsewhere in order to try to take care of my customer base, I would appreciate no phone calls.
I thank you all so much for your concern, and your prayers - you are so dear.
