Haven't been to this place in a long while but the atmosphere was cool and great Italian food.

Right off PB too

I will be in PB right on the water at a lovely hotel I arrive on the 19th and leave the 26th, I was wondering if anyone could tell me a great place with fine dining something romantic would be nice thanks for your help.Victoria

PB? Not exactly the most eloquent beaches to be at but there used to be a real cool Italian place across from Moose's (is Mosse McGillicutty in biz still?) on Garnet St.  The name escapes me.

Any hobbiest in the SD area should see this awesome lady.

Victoria,

There is a new place on the water near by called Jordans at the Tower 23 Hotel. I go by there each day during my morning Zen walk. Its got a great South Beach feel in San Diego.  However La Jolla is not to far if you want to stay in the area. There also Gaslamp in downtown area if you want a larger variety. Hopefully will get a chance to meet with you during your visit ?

Thanks for the help I did dine at tower23 on my last visit it has a nice vibe but the sevice was poor and the food was just okay kinda all show and no go.......being at the beach I was hoping for seafood or maybe a great thai place would be nice. thanks Victoria

The La Jolla area has great seafood, esp. around the cove. A few nice hotels as well, Hotel La Jolla, The Empress, maybe Parisi or La Valencia.
Obviously rates vary. And further north in Del Mar has a couple hide aways near the beach, within a short drive of some great food. If you want to PM me.
If you don't mind downtown there is some great dining as well.
You may not be able to stay on the beach, but there are great harbor and city views..

The best restaurants are found in the gaslamp quarter. If you're looking for a great steak then you could go just up the road to the Golden Triangle  for Donavan's.

Can't wait to see you when you get back in town.
