I just had to share this tearjerker...

I've been emailing this lady for about three years.  Probably every couple of months or so I'd try to set up some time with her but something would happen and we couldnt meet.  I feel like we got pretty comfortable with each other..I always left the previous email replies in our messages. So a few months ago we get really close to meeting, like within a couple of hours and as usual something comes up..her car wont start or her friend needs a ride..you know.    We had gotten so close to meeting that we switched to texting and then continued that although I would still email if I didnt get responses to a text.  She seemed to switch back and forth.    So about a month ago, the stars line up again, she's very near me with an incall and I'm free! I'm so excited!   She asks me to call so I do.  She only says a few words but I'm sure she's just nervous or something.. So i get the address about two hours later than I'm supposed to but who cares my day has come! I pull up and hang out in the parking lot to wait for the room number....no response to text.  Finally I decide to send an email and say 'hey whats up'

She replies: You text/called from different number and I didnt know the email was also you so I'm freaking out and dont know who you are.  I'm cancelling.

I'm in shock.  I guess when we switched from email to texting, she didnt know it was the same person like I thought she did.  When we texted it was from my google voice number but when I called, it was from my real number :(

boo hoo, three years of fantasy down the drain.  I did email a couple more times over the next week hoping she might change her mind. Nada.

I know, I know, there's lots a girls out there, but I really wanted this one.

three years?
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but she has NO desire to see you.

. . . and texting, and she didn't know your name or recognize your number?  As Epi says, that's a record in my book, too.

and she never made it to a date with you?

man, that's provider talk for "get lost."
