the provider. Annatruegfe.  But to tell you the truth I wish she would have returned the many calls I made to her. And she IS a true GFE.

her returning the call at a different time and day than you requested, then leaving her name and phone number on your message machine for other people to hear.  This happened to me with annatruegfe, and I would hate to see that behavior ruin some hobbyist's life.  Needless to say, I won't call again!  Just trying to be helpful.

I approved this message, however I don't know which provider it refers to.

The poster needs to identify who he is referring to.

Sometimes providers get many messages and  they are unable to respond to all of them on the same day. For example, unless someone specifically states they don't want me to call back after a specific time, I am under the impression the number they gave me is ok to respond to the next day etc. Very rarely do I have someone give me a number with a message machine that will be heard by others.

You may want to state in your messages to providers that if they are unable to return your call before a specific time...you don't want them to call back.

Good luck...

you should assume that EVERY provider will call you at an inopportune time. also assume that they will either intentionally or unintentially do something that could get you busted on the home front. this way you cover all the bases and lower the risk. and in any event, it is your behavior that ulimately gets you busted, not the provider's.

get a cell phone that only you answer with voicemail that only you can access. if you are married have the bills go somewhere were your wife can't see them. you can even ask the cell phone company to stop sending you paper bills and pay online which totally eliminates the paper trail. if you are calling from home or work you are just looking to get busted.

phone calls and messages are not the only risky behaviors. be smart and identify all the things that can trip you up and you will take a lot of the anxiety out of the hobby and will be able to enjoy yourself more.

Well said. Even before I got my cell, I only called from a phone that I and nobody else used. Ms. Lee is also correct. I always tell a provider to not call me back after a certain ammount of time has elapsed. That way, I won't have to answer the phone when I'm surrounded by friends or family and worry about it being a provider.

Thanks to Meagan Lee.  I have noticed her helpful advice on the discussion board previously.  In this case, however, I gave the provider a very definite last day and time to phone back, but she ignored this restriction.
Thanks to Derek Fisher.  I shall take your excellent advice and obtain a cell phone.  What else could trip me up?
