The Church was definitely an underrated group. I remember when "Starfish" came out, nobody knew what to make of it, as "Under The Milky Way" was such a gentle sounding song (Waddy Wachtel's influence was in that one), but they had such a weird sound. I would have to say "Destination" was a stronger song for me, but "UTMW" was just a perfect pop song...great verse-chorus-verse structure, flowing solo section, and the fade out was perfect for Steve Kilbey's voice. I also liked "North, East, South, West", "Reptile", and "Hotel Womb" from that one.
Some of MY favorite 80's songs are:
"Shelter" - The Alarm "The Metro" - Berlin "I Still Believe" - The Call "Heartbeat City" - The Cars "Love" - The Cult "Fascination Street" - The Cure "Airwaves" - Thomas Dolby "Stand or Fall" - The Fixx "Space Age Love Song" - A Flock of Seagulls "Home By The Sea" - Genesis "Eyes Without a Face" - Billy Idol "Cult of Personality" - Living Colour "Kayleigh" - Marillion "Paper in Fire" - John Mellencamp "Dreamworld" - Midnight Oil "Destination Unknown" - Missing Persons "Who Do You Want To Be?" - Oingo Boingo "Secret Journey" - The Police "The Beautiful Ones" - Prince "Fight the Power" - Public Enemy "Blood and Roses" - The Smithereens "Tunnel of Love" - Bruce Sprinsteen "Children's Crusade" - Sting "Mad World" - Tears for Fears "Voices Carry" - Til Tuesday "Life is Hard" - Timbuk 3 "New Years Day" - U2 "Dear God" - Midge Ure and last but not least, "Language" - the lovely Suzanne Vega
Ah, the 80's...the last FULL decade of great popular music.

"She's so mean but I don't care I love her eyes and her wild wild hair Dance to the beat that we love best Heading for the nineties Living in the wild wild west The wild wild west"
Remember the prom scene in Napoleon Dynamite where they played "Forever Young"--it brings you right back to those teenage years where you were sometimes awkward and goofy, but always invincible. It was impossible to imagine yourself growing older, LOL.
Funny! I just downloaded a bunch of old songs from The Church! But since I grew up on the east coast I have some scary ones: Bon Jovi's Runaway, anything from Culture Club and that Adam Ant song whose name I can't remember!
