This post is prompted by a post a few slots down, by a guy opining that some bp ads look like stings to him.
In the past I used to wonder about out-of-county area codes; some ads did look too good to be true. Sometimes there may be an explanation for provder ads using other-California area codes. I met one lady from Fresno who explained she came to San Diego County because she could do better here. The market in Fresno was so bad, she told me, that ladies were forced to offer quickies for 20.
If you are concerned about ads indicating incall in an often-used area (Hotel Circle has been a concern for me), you can use the crime mapping site linked below as a guide to areas of LE interest.
San Diego PD still has "prostitution" as a category that can be selected. I checked Oceanside PD and they seem to have only "sex crime", which presumably also includes "rape".
As an example of information that is available, a quick check reveals the following prostitution arrests:
1) 3/16/16, 12:45 am, 900 block Camino del Rio South;
2) 1/5/16, 9:50 pm, 3500 block Camino del Rio South;
3) numerous arrests in the 3500 block of Adobe Falls Rd, (Days Inn & Roadway Inn, probably), including
several arrests between 10/7 - 10/9/15
(Strangely, there is a link to the Sheriff's Office; strange, because 3500 Adobe Falls Rd is in the City.)
Signed,
MX may be a 3d world country, but it is more progressive about sex work than the USA is.
