I've never been screened before... now that I seem to being going for a higher class of girl, or additional services, I'm being asked for a work number.
Of course, I'm nervous about this... but, understand the need.
My questions:
1. If I give out my number to verify employment, what questions do the girls ask?
2. I freelance, and always in remote locations (I work in TV and film production) so my employers can change weekly. Also, the folks at the offices don't always know me - just the folks in payroll who cut the checks. Should I give the heads up to someone at the office that someone may call - but what do I tell them they'll ask?
Over the last couple weeks, I've received a number of requests for appointments from guys who refuse to give the information. I'm somewhat surprised for many reasons, but one reason being that anyone who 'knows' me, or OF me would know that I require it, and am not the kind of girl who you call an hour before you want to see me, and not the kind of girl who will see someone without being able to verify them first.
While I certainly don't get ANGRY that they feel the way they do and choose not to (give info), I'm taken aback that they can't seem to understand or respect MY choice and get bent out of shape. Their attitude makes it most certain!
Maybe they think we are either desperate, money hungry or simply greedy and will make 'exceptions' to see them without it. Thankfully (and I do mean THANKfully), I'm none of those and can pass on the appointment requests. What's the phrase?- "All GOOD things come to those who WAIT". I can wait.
I am a professional. These are my requirements. In the same way you fill out an application for a loan and you give some information or the application won't go through.. The BEST clients, the BEST TIMES with them, are ALL gentlemen who've provided the information and understand just what kind of lady they are seeing. THAT 'rule' has stood true again and again.
Well stated by both Elise and Sedona. For more discussion re your concerns see the discussion threads on the topic on this board 5/11, 5/13 and my post 5/22.
you can do a Find Message search by author, on this board and see. We have ways of seeing your work by license, by degree, etc.
When the gents are as proactive and creative in the screening process as she is since they have the mutual goal (meeting!), it really helps and can be fun versus drudgery. The main idea is to prove who you are and who you aren't.
We need to know you don't spend your 40 with SDPD, for example. So, if you had to prove that you weren't with LE to ANYONE, how would you do it? Think of it that way...then you'll come up with ideas...
