Hay there, you don't actually need your own personal website.  But you do have to have some web presence, such as an ad which stays up on a site like cityvibe.

Hi Honey,
When I first started I hardly got any calls until I got a few reviews.  I think a lot of clients are afraid to take a chance with a new person until they have a review somewhere.  Someone who had been around for a while suggested to me that I offer a discount to clients willing to write a review for me.  I did.  It was a fantastic discount, because I really wanted reviews.  I ran that special for two days and ended up with about 5 reviews.  I saw the clients at a reduced rate and they verbally agreed to write a review later.  You also might consider offering a discount to each client you see for there next visit if they write a review.  That way you can make sure they actually do it and you will get a return visit from the client.  There are other places where clients can leave reviews.  But in my opinion, none of the other places come close to being as helpful as reviews on TER.  If you want a website I can put you in touch with a guy who can get one up for you in a couple of days for 200 or so.  And if you need photos I can refer you to a professional photographer who does great work who is almost always willling to trade time for time...can I say that?
