On August 26th, 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment was proclaimed by the Secretary of State as being part of the Constitution of the United States. Women in the United States were enfranchised on an equal basis with men. The text reads as follows:
"The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."
Our grandmothers and mothers fought hard for it, and now its our right to use. Don't remain silent, let your voice be heard.
It's your right, it's your voice, it's your country.
