I am interested to know if I am in the right or the wrong. I have experienced providers being late and I get that. You say 9 and they show up at 9:15.

Is one hour late a little much? I had this happen here in SD and in another city in the course of one week. I am so sensitive to canceling after one SD provider went to far and did the unthinkable. If a girl is one hour late and doesn't communicate at least every 20 minutes what do you do? Isnt that a buzz kill? I believe in respecting her for her time .... Shouldn't she do the same?

and it's happened to me several times. sometimes with lots of communication. sometimes with next to none.  there are plenty of extenuating circumstances in our community to cause this; from the professionalism of the lady to soCal traffic and everything in between. I try to remember, that just because she got a 9 in looks and a 9 in performance doesn't mean she's a rocket scientist, or even professional for that matter. it means she's hot and shreds the sheets - nothing more.

if you're a professional, it's hard not to project your code of conduct on someone else. I do it all the time.  And without disparaging any of the fine ladies on this Board or SD in particular, I try not to whine about the lack of linen table cloths while standing in line at McDonald's.

I think you know the answer most hobbyists will say.  Yes, an hour is a little much, even with communication.  15 minutes to me isn't even late, it's basically on time.  I've been hobbying  awhile and my waiting window has been reduced over the years to roughly 30 minutes, with good communication. and a little longer with good communication and great reviews!    

Come on, that is just curtiosy.  Shit does happen..communicate!

One hour of lateness is over the Top...Fifteen minutes is fine as long as she let u know ahead of time and let you know where she is...however, there are circumstances when sometimes things happen that is out of our control like got pulled over, car battery dies, flat tire, etc...Being a provider or even in my civi life, I always see to it that I am on time not even 15, 10 or 5 minutes late as I cannot afford to have people waiting for me, as every seconds of the day is GOLDEN...I always make sure that I am there in the parking or vicinity 15 mins. ahead of time so I could gather myself before showing myself to the person who is meeting me...

Early is on time
On time is late
And late is unacceptable

I usually try to be early -- several reiewesr of mine were impressed with my punctuality even commenting that being 15 minutes to an hour late were what they expected and were used to.


True, situations come up where lateness can't be avoided such as an accident on the freeway or unexpected traffic. With that being said if the provider is going to you and is a local to the area she should be aware of traffic and when is a bad time to be on the road. For example if someone wanted to meet me downtown at 8am on a weekday I would either have to stay closer to downtown the night prior or be out the door by 645am at the latest to be sure to avoid the morning commuters traffic. We are adults and know how to plan a head if someone is also planning ahead by prebooking and shorter notice meetings can also be arranged accordingly. Such as if you're 30 minute drive away don't say "I'll be there in 30", give yourself an extra 15min to compensate for the potential traffic. There is no excuse IMO when outcall in your own city.

When it comes to providers with incall I also find little excuse to be late. Basically I was taught in my agency that you beed to be sitting ready and waiting 10 minutes before a meeting, that way you can do a quick check in that time waiting: mirror, candles, refreshments, mouthwash & deodorize. Sometimes I still need a minute or two of course, but usually it's when someone is a little early.

Communication is very important if wither party is running behind. If someone is meant to be somewhere at noon and they are a 30 minute drive away and it's 1130am but they haven't left yet they know at 1130 they will be late. At 1130 you text that info not at noon.



Maybe I'm one of the few who have had many professional "real world" jobs where expectations are to do what you're meant to and be on time or you have no job. Maybe I have more respect for people and their time. Maybe I'm talking out my butt. Who knows. Either way time is something we can't get back once gone so please don't waste it and most certainly don't waste mine!

I have been through it all ... On first dates I give some leeway if it approaches the 20 minute mark I'm sending a text at 20 minutes basically saying "I guess we have to try this some other time". It leaves the option to reschedule open and it shows some understanding that you realize something came up... But it also let's a person know that your time is important as well.  

If you are seeing someone new constantly or are a very irregular customer as I had been in the past it seems this is more the norm.  If you repeat with a lady as often as once a month it almost never happens.  The more comfortable they are with you more often than not will result in at least being invited in while they are doing their final primping etc.

Actually, I have not met Goldie but have shared some PMs and emails, and I love her posts.  I'll meet her this summer/fall and I really look forward to it.  I appreciate her punctuality.  It is a good trait.

Goldie raises a good point.  From casual observation, it seems to me that several self-employed persons of both genders and multiple industries choose self-employment because of the lack of structure of a 9-to-5 job.  I think, relative to the overall population, they may be less punctual.  At least some are.  I had a legit massage therapist who lost track of appointments, cancelled, etc.  Eventually, I dropped her due to lack of reliability.

I'm a very easy-going guy who is often 5 minutes late, though I've been late for a provider only once.  I know that shit happens, so I cut people slack.  But consistently late gets annoying.

I have seen someone twice who is not punctual at all, but I cut her a lot of slack because she is young, sweet, and wonderful, plus she gives me bonus time.  But other guys react differently.  I'm concerned that it will hurt her reputation.  It has not hurt her business (yet).

Love this post ...... was telling my co-workers the same thing the other day at work. Its not an accident that I'm a half hour early everyday just like it isn't an accident that they are 5 minutes late EVERY day.

The answer is... How valuable is YOUR time.. For me..a little late is OK.. If she is communicating maybe and I'm not doing anything else..sure. Over 30 min, time to reschedule.. No fun starting off frustrated..
Nothing starts a date off better than ”hey babe, I'm ready when you are” text 5-10 min EARLY. Gives the initial impression that you are looking forward to seeing us and adds to the Girlfriend part of the experience!

if it's really important for someone to be ontime thay are saying your time is as valuable as theirs. if someone was told if they were at point A at 10am they would get $1M you know for sure they would be there. In this world I give a bit cause I'm certainly not paying that but 1 hour is way too late. I've actually had issues with me being early because I have to come from north county and I always worry about traffic.
