If you read the quote in full you will see the silliness of this comment comes to light...
The quote without the end edited out:
"he simply forgot to pay (happens with regulars often)... he returns NOW and pays"
Emphasis on "he returns NOW and pays"
I have lots of lovers/client/friends who part ways and I look around and think SHOOT.
I text them and ask if they FORGOT anything and they offer to return rite away with donation.
"Please! Tell that to a single mom who needs to buy groceries that day."
I wouldn't tell her anything except to consider the following: why she is a single mom and why she is living "paycheck to paycheck" (or in this industry day to day)...
Sorry but the truth isn't always pretty

Here are the ONLY three options
1.) he simply forgot to pay (happens with regulars often)... he returns NOW and pays
2.) he did it intentionally and can make up the diff. with a gift card via email (if not, B list)
3.) he did it unintentionally --- he either misunderstood a special or the rate: he fixes via option #2 or you two compromise
If he shorts and none of the above, move on and DO NOT rebook. PERIOD. If so, it's on you.
So sorry this happened but use it as a learning tool.
