As long as the provider still performs well and isn't rusty, it doesn't matter how old her latest review is.
If a provider hasn't received a review in a few months, it just makes me wonder if she's still active.
I'm more likely to reach out if there is a recent review.
I did, however, reach out to a provider whose most recent review was 5-6 months old at the time.
She said she wasn't accepting any new clients, but decided to add me to her "secret list of keepers" after a few exchanges.

I have guys state they will write a new review, but don't because they say I already have great reviews. Does having current reviews help?
I saw a provider in another city who does very well & she has not had a review her since 2002, but all her past reviews were 9's & 10's. I can honestly, say that when I started years ago I did not know about TER & the review system, so I only started caring about my score about 2 yrs ago.
As long as she has more than 6 or 7 reviews from established hobbyists, I don't care if there aren't any recent reviews. It does concern me a bit if her recent clients aren't raving about her skills in the bedroom.
The reality is that cream rises to the top, in this world as in everything. Providers who have great sexual skills will receive great reviews on a regular basis. Providers who don't will receive bad reviews or no reviews at all.
Hey, I try to do a review for every session, whether good or bad. I feel this is a guide to what one might expect from a provider. I do it for guys like me, but also to give a plug for a provider.
I am sure some providers improve over time, but some may also decline with time, but how are we to know without current reviews? Also, the rates may have changed, or the location or whatever.

Lack of current reviews MAY indicate that a lady is low volume, has a career away from the hobby, has repeat clients that don't re review, is well established in the hobby or is just picky about who she decides to see. All of these attributes are things I might like in who I see. Also, some girls will simply ask not to be reviewed.
I can sometimes tell from review write-ups if she is one of those that seems to like return customers or is someone who likes the adventure of new guys often.
I asked one provider that calls me her "favorite friend" if it is more exciting to walk to the door knowing I am behind it or if someone else is that she had not seen before. She picked the latter. She is into the strange 
Everyone is different and some gals that like many new "faces" might get reviewed more than the ones that like the familiar.
Most mature providers don't get reviewed as much as the up and coming ones and I prefer the mature so the lack of current reviews has little bearing on my decision process.
Having some reviews with credible hobbyists, at least 6 or 7 like was said before, is important though, regardless of how current those reviews might be
They are not critical for me because I know some of the best providers prefer not to be reviewed for a variety of reasons. However, I need some info re how a girl performs, her attitude, condition of incall, etc before I book a date. This may be from older reviews and/or opinions of her expressed about her in Men's Only forums at some sites. Also, I factor in the quality of communications between her and me via PMs/emails prior to setting a date.
Some providers want to be discreet or UTR and request no reviews. Others are very low volume. A scarcity of recent reviews makes sense in both cases. However, a lack of recent reviews can be cause for concern in two regards. First, if there are no reviews in about 4-6 months, I may question whether she is still active. If I can find evidence that she is, no problem. Second, if it's been several years, I might question if the looks, performance, or menu has changed. I'd want to try to verify that the pics are recent.
In some cases, I see a very large number of recent reviews. This could be, for example, that someone new is making a very positive early impression. It could also mean that she is very high volume. The first is appealing, the second not so much.
There is always the chance that the lady needed time with her family or maybe she has another career.
I surely hope it wasn't prison but I you never know!

I have found that I receive more inquiries from new clients when I get a new review. I also find that my regulars enjoy reading them and can often be inspired by a review to try something new with me or simply a motivator to revisit sooner.
