Now, I've been with some very hot women. Definitely some once in a life time experiences. I also believe beauty can be relative or vary with your own personal taste.
But I have to ask 'overall', in this forum, for reviewing purposes. Model Material? To me "Model Material" is just that. Someone that would be on the cover of a magazine or ad campaign. Granted most photos are digitally retouched before publishing. So not even a super model looks cover ready on the average day.
But I would think model material would be someone who has been a model, could model. Or at the very least turns heads when she enters a room or walks down the street.
No, I not going to get into the trappings of the review process. We all know YMMV as rankings are tossed around for different reasons.

I'd agree with your definition. And I have to confess a guilty pleasure of watching "America's Top Model" lately and it's pretty apparent that the differences between the "hanging out with no make up" looks and the photoshoot looks are striking. It seems to be something to do with facial bone structure, and people in the business seem to be able to predict it, but for the life of me I can't tell who's look is going to come to life with hair and makeup. Also interesting to note is the difference between "top model" based in New York, and the Dickinson Agency show, based in L.A. Much thinner girls in NYC.
All that said, I place little value on the Model look, and have found that they tend to be quite aware of their Model look and tend toward the IceQueen attitudes. 7-8 ranges in appearance tend to be much more fun, and the 6's or heavier girls are often absolutely the best experiences. I have seen your website Jai, and definitely don't mean to insult you at all or imply that this generalization applies to you in ANY WAY, and I know your reputation here is awesome. But there is an agency I am familiar with that gets the girls from a model agency who don't make the cut. Usually that have the model figure and model face, but just aren't tall enough. I've always wondered if that is why there are so many petite providers.
But to me "model material" is an illusion, a phantom and a catch phrase. And this video proves it.

...but really I have seen ladies of all heights (just walking around or on campus) with the most incredible faces and bods that are to die for! They really do look like the babes you see in model/bikini mags.
As for the definition of 'model material', your definition, Jai, is what I would also consider 'model material': those ladies who are slender and fit, with very attractive - beautiful - faces.
But we all know that 'model looks' are indeed a rare commodity for any sex.
Though I have never seen her (but know someone who has), there is only a single provider in SD that may fit the definition. There are also only two other providers in SD who come very close.... but for the most part, I have been appalled at the relatively average looking ladies (in San Diego as well as LA) who have been consistently awarded 'model looks' in their reviews, and clearly they were just moderately more attractive than average. Send me a private email and I will tell you who these two providers are.
This is a real problem because this encourages a false sense of self agrandizement on the part of the providers, and the sad consequence of price inflation.
When I review someone as "model quality", it's because I think they could really be a model on a cover of a magazine or photo shoot, no matter what the publication may be. I know the ladies I've rated as such (and you're one of them, Jai)absoluetly could, if you haven't already.
As for the the once in a lifetime experience, that's a little different for me. For me, that describes an experience that in my regular, day to day life, I just wouldn't have. For me, I could rate more than one lady a 10 (in fact, I've done so in the past). I guess what I'm trying to say, and probably failing at, is that a "once in a lifetime" experience for me is just a mind-blowing, incredible, experience.

an 8 appearance rating from you, because of their implants? Am I mis-reading your post or do you consider any cosmetic surgery to exclude one from the 'Model Material' club?
When they stopped using silicone, which is far your pilable then saline. People starting seeing what I call "Barbie Boobs". The ones that just sit there, look tight, don't really move and are hard to the touch. Saline can be like an over filled water balloon. Along with the fact that every dr. starting doing them, whether skilled or not. I think that picture stuck.
Some don't realize silicone is still used. There were also some test implants called 'gummy bears' and one with a soy mix. My girlfriend had a great dr. in LA put in the soy type and OMG. They were big, so beautiful, soft and draped her body perfectly. You would have never known unless she told you. So there are some great racks out there, that are implants. I guess it may not be the majority or picture in ones mind. Now the lip and other face implants. On those I would tend to agree. They often look a little hard or too perfect.
Always wondered what that sort of scene is like - your friend gets the work done, you meet somewhere, you remark on how there's a change, and your friend just takes you somewhere private and takes off her top?
Just happned to see a clip that plastic surgery in the US is up 7% in 2006 over 2005. Didn't get the over all number. But in order, the main procedures where boobies, nose then liposuction. Guess as some point it may be hard to tell who has original factory equipment.
Model material to me means a woman that has such physical beauty that she is set apart from general public. Gifted physically. Not just skinny or tall but a package. Once in a lifetime is totally overused. Everyone will have something they like more than the next guy but model material is less than 5 percent of the population IMHO.
Model Material should mean just that--she could be on a runway in Milan or the cover of a magazine. As for Once in a Lifetime it should mean just that also. But from reading the reviews it appears that several TER members have been reincarnated several times.
According to the TER rating scale a 10 should be 1 in a million. That means if there are 160 million women in the US then there would be roughly 160 tens. If you take in just the universe of providers it would mean there are 1 to 5 providers who should be ranked as tens. I tend to agree that when I think of model material my first thought is of the famous runway models shown at major fashion shows. However there is considerably more leeway in the model material ranking. I have had several clients and know of several providers that worked as trade show models. A guy who spends a lot of time at trade shows might be inclined to use that criterion for models.
On the performance side a 10 is also defined as one in a million. I think that can probably be taken in two different ways. The lady is the best you have had in your lifetime or the experience is unique enough that she is one in a million. Of course since most of us have 990,000+ to go before we reach a million perhaps we should just wait a few years to award those 10’s. LOL!
that when I do searches, I always put in "performance: 8 to 10" and leave "looks" blank. The 9/2's and 10/Ripoffs are surprisingly common. Maybe that's because they have the Looks 9-10, they can upsell and ROB the naive hobbyist. I get a rush out of the 6/10 and 7/10 experiences. But the 10/10s are great too, just harder to find.
To me when someone says model material it is a woman who looks pretty damn near perfect (digitally enhanced) to the naked eye without having had enhancements of any kind is just damn near perfect as is in the flesh up close & personal. & realistically this is witnessed at in a female at the age of 18 - 21 give or take......that's my take on "Model Material's" meaning...C/CandyO
It means a girl that is beautiful in all ways: nicely done hair, clean face without blemishes or scars, a physique that is flawness, without extra weight or flab, stretch marks or other undesirable attributes, and beautiful breasts that are soft to the touch and feel natural (weather enhanced or not).
