This board isn't dormant, it's DOA.   There was a time, not to long ago, that this board had some interesting threads and some good dialogue.  But then a few individuals started posting and when things are no longer are fun, folks stopped.  Can't say as I blame them.  Just like a tv show, when it's no longer entertaining, we change the channel or find something else to do.  

I'm afraid that is the truth.  The bad drives out the good.

Some would argue that it's a "discussion" board and therefore it's open season.  I've on occasion been not so nice myself with other "hobbyist", but I felt it was justified.  There are times I may not agree with someone's statement but will go about responding in an adult manner.  Dialogue is good when it's not mean spirited.  We all have different viewpoints based on our experience.  I'm not so closed minded hearing someone else's viewpoint.

Even the ISO posts seem to have come to a small trickle due to the same thing.  

`1.  There doesn't seem to be many on this board with a sense of humor.  The fun guys, like Incallman, Epicurus, and others have left, many because everyone here is so serious and get offended even when its clear a post was done for a laugh.  Its supposed to be a fun hobby.  If we can't have a little fun discussing some of the craziness, what is the point of being on the board?  Too many here take things way to personally.  Your presence here is just a fake character, so don't be so thin skinned.  

2.  There is a disconnect between providers and hobbyists on this board.  First, there seems to be providers that are jealous and knock other providers.  There have been many threads where local indies bash agency girls, TJ girls, and EACH OTHER.  A few are clearly racist in their posting and disdain for non-Caucasian providers.  What happened to the supposed "sisterhood" among providers here that is so evident on other regional boards?  The infighting from time to time is a total turnoff for hobbyists to watch.  Its a lose-lose for everyone.  

3.  Number two makes this not a very fun place for hobbyists that like all different kinds of girls.  If a guy likes TJ Latinas, or Asian girls, and he sees them getting bashed by other providers here, he is eventually going to see no value in sharing any of his thoughts on this board, and that's why participation is dying down.

Everyone knows I like Asian agency girls, bit I also see indies, I just don't review them so that CDL remains completely anonymous.  I have seen four indies so far this year that I initially had exchanges with on the LA regional board..  Its pretty sad when some of the SD providers are posting on the LA board because this board is no fun.  If you guys lighten up and stop taking yourselves so seriously, this board will come back.  Otherwise, its circling the drain.

But I knew that I did not know nearly enough to do that or any sort of rope bondage safely. Seems to me that there are three issues with rope bondage
- Potential for rope burns,
- Potential for cramps, discomfort, and
- Potential for major medical problems, due to loss of circulation.

All good considerations.  I have done a great deal of reading on shibari and understand some of its tenets.
