Even if you're afraid to post under your real handle, use an alias. The whole purpose of this site is to help each other out. We praise the good ones and we need to report the ripoffs. And you my friend, were ripped off.

I know there isn't much you can do.
But wouldn't it be cool if there was a Mini-Review, were you cold state when you were ripped off and a date never really happened. After months and months.
You bet stay away from the deposit deal too.

Well, you could tell us about it, right here.
Who was it?

I agree....unless you give us the details, quit whining.

I agree, you should let the other gentlemen know the who's and what's about the situation that happened to you. That sucks and is not an acceptable way of doing business and the majority of providers I would think are not that way. But if you legitimately did get taken for the deposit, you should just say who did it to you, if she doesn't respond to your'e pms?  There is always two sides to every story?

Because men gossip/ or share too. (I guess it falls under pillow talk)
I have heard a number of these stories this year. Everything from no shows, not returning phone calls or deposits, to actual black mail.  (No, I'm not naming names. I try to keep my Karma it tack)
I'm often surprised who it involves. It's also sad because most are afraid to speak out since the person has all their personal info.
It stinks even more if your the next girl up to bat and they are still feeling the sting.
So it hurts us all...
Trust me I don't get it either plmokn, because I always feel a bit of pressure with the review process. A little like being under the microscope 24/7. So it's hard for me to see how you can't be on the ball.
None of us are perfect, but intentional bad actions are so out of line.

If you do not post the details and the provider, it is hard to believe you are being honest.

I have a merchant account and there are time when I will require a deposit by CC in order to arrange a meeting. There is no way in hell I would dream of not making good on the deposit or refunding it if my client chose to pay cash. If I started doing anything that could be perceived as illegal, I would lose my merchant account and could be sued by said client, or even prosecuted for Fraud (a felony)!!

So what you are claiming just doesn't ring true. If you are disappointed with your experience with a provider, give her a review! But if you just changed your mind about a gift you made, or have buyer's remorse, it's your own tough luck.
