I'm curious,  do you gentleman prefer professional or non professional photos from the providers or a combo of both?

Professional done, sharply focused images with limited retouching is great. But we all know that amateur sexy photos are great to show personality and everyday sexiness!

What is bad are the ameteur photogs who try to shoot both.  It's apparent and sucks. Pros make you look great, which is why real models are selective about they photog.

Which gets to Eva's question too: get a fashion photog. A guy or girl who shoots for a mag or advert. They understand makeup, lighting, clothing, fabric, skin and hair. Landscape, product, or headshot guys don't get it...

A combination is good.
Self-taken phone pics are pretty hot.
I don't mind professional photos as long as it's not airbrushededited too much.
Either way, the pictures should be a good representation of the lady

When I first started I thought that it was best to do only professional, but now I try to have a mix of both on my website.
No self shots in the bathroom of anything but most of the black and white photos I release are self done... I'm a big fan of black and white...
I feel like both are an accurate representation of me and most people say I look even prettier in person versus photo so I don't find myself worrying about the "let down" that professional pics can leave if u don't look like your photos lol... Everyone can tell its me in my pics... I think the only time people say otherwise is when they see my old blonde photos...

professional photographers are totally good for things like pretty lighting, makeup etc... Both have their place :)

Great topic!!!!

I like a mix too. If it becomes too stylish or sophisticated you dont really know what to expect when the day comes. Too much glamour makes one suspicious. Eva all your pictures are great. A little of everything and you look even better in person. But I believe that`s due to your personality!! Something that can`t be bought for money :)

Every one of my photos are non pro and done on my personal iPhone.

It's been over a year using non pro iPhotos for my ads and am happy to say that I have never seen a reason to use pro shots or pay for them. My policy is if it aint broke don't fix it.

On a side note, my .02 on pro photos:
I find pro photos to be misleading and often inaccurate.
Sure, they are pretty and look nice, but unless you're bringing your airbrush machine to hover in front of you with your date during the session you're better off just using someone else's photos.

Great Topic :)

Part of the Hobby is surely a fantasy based  experience.....and great Pro pictures certainly help catch ones eye...and fuel that fantasy.

However there is nothing worse than the 'actual' being SO far removed from the 'advertized'.....!

IMO, a mix of Pro shots, not overly manipulated..but well shot to accentuate the positive ..
...and  some candid 'lifestyle' shots emphasizing personality,  is the perfect balance.

Far gone are the days of "The Camera never Lies".....but much like the right outfit, right hair, right shoes...

...the right photos  serve their purpose too.

you know, while some selfies are hot, the thing that non-professional pics say to me is, "i'm too cheap to invest in my business."

i'm not saying evey gal should lay out a grand for fancy costumed budoir photography.

but a good pic with nice lighting and a thought-out pose says more to me than a camera snap shot taken in the bathroom mirror.

i dont' mind a mix, but if a girl only has selfies in the mirror, it means to me she is at the beginning of her time in the hobby and not willing to invest in herself.

and if she's not willing to invest in herself, why should i?

of course, there are big exceptions to this rule, goldie being the biggest.  she's a hot girl and her pix are hot too.

so ymmv.

I agree about a mix.  Photographers have a good sense of lighting, attire, how to pose, etc.  As long as the photos are not touched up, I like professional pics.  They add a sense of class.

I also like more candid shots that are more casual.  Many of us have decent cameras, perhaps in our phones, so good images are easier to capture than ever.  Just because a pic is taken on a phone does not mean that it cannot be altered.

I've seen some condo pics that are poorly done, causing me to ask WTF.  I've also seen some that make places look gorgeous.  Someone with the right skills can make something very nice look even better.  Someone without skill can make something very nice look uninteresting.

For examples of great pics, see Dolly Jewel, Alyssa Day, and Jill Morgan in South Florida.  They all have dozens of great, accurate, current photos.  Jill has a photo shoot about quarterly to ensure that her pics are current.  I've seen a couple of providers with pics that were nearly 10 years old or 20+ pounds ago.  Keeping them current is important.  Old pics can be unfairly deceptive.

It's nice to be able to have the professional  ones... I tend to have  both. I don't care to lie or waste anyones time or mine, for that manner.   I would hate for my reviews to mention something other than what I look like, or offer.

Keeping it real.

Besos.
