When I heard that Sarah Jane Hamilton was available in L.A., I was quite excited, even though I didn’t know what she looked like since she stopped doing movies years ago.  I called the # but it kept ringing with no pick up.  Finally, the following Monday she picked up.  She said it was her cell phone but that she had been out of town over the weekend.  Sarah said this was her cell phone and that she answered calls after her regular day job.  She said she did everything she did in the movies, and told me how late she saw people.  A couple of weeks later when I was ready to see her, I called Sarah and either the mail box was full (with an outgoing message that sounded like someone other than Sarah) or it kept ringing.  Then another woman would pick up and say Sarah was out of town and to call back the following week.  When I did, she’d say Sarah was still out until three days later.  Then I’d get her answering service.  Then I’d get the first woman who wasn’t all that patient or friendly.  Then I got someone who said she was Sarah’s assistant, Angie.  We arranged an appointment for a Saturday night and Angie said she’d call to confirm Saturday morning.  Of course, she didn’t, so I tried calling the same number, but- you guessed it- it kept on ringing.  After I got back from doing my afternoon business, I called and still, no pick up.  Saturday came and went.  I got a hold of someone who said she was Angie the next Monday and asked why she hadn’t called like she was supposed to.  She said she didn’t speak to me, but maybe one of the other girls called and pretended to be her.  Why would she do that?  She said a lot of people lived there.  I asked, oh, and they all pick up the phone and pretend to be someone else?  She didn’t seem to grasp that I wanted to see Sarah, because she asked me if I was interested in seeing her or someone else who lived there and told me their names and the website she was on.  When I said I was only interested in Sarah, “Angie” said she’d try to find out what was up with Sarah.  A few minutes later, she called back to say she was told that Sarah had left for Denver and wasn’t coming back.  WTF?!
