Porn Stars

Do we need a Porn Star Ad Board, similar to the new Regional Ad Boards?

TER has rolled out the new Regional Ad Boards. They seem to be working well, as all the provider ads have been removed from the discussion boards and now have their own place to be posted.

Do we need a Porn Star Ad Board? I think we might. It seems as if there's less and less discussion on this board and more and more ads by porn stars. Maybe there should be a separate ad board so porn stars can post and we can keep this board for talking about current topics.

Thoughts?

There are a lot of TER members that are not interested in the porn scene and tell me they never look on this board. We seem to be a small group that participates on this board now.  Since it is a small group that is active on this board, adding an ads board would just make more work for everyone.

Navigating between ISO posts, Name the porn star in this clip and porn star ads is not that difficult on this board.

I rather have just one PS board, makes things more organize and easier to do research. Looking at 2 or 3 sub-pornstar boards sounds like a hassle. Just keep it the way it is.

The porn board is not your typical board and has been moderated differently than the other boards.

We can openly discuss a porn star or her videos on this board whereas if we talked about a provider on the regional discussion board it would be considered shilling and possible removed from the moderator as an ad.

One of the reasons I feel we do not need another board is because the number of porn star providers is very small compared to the number of non pornstar providers of any regional area. Most of the porn star providers are with agencies, so most hobbyist that hobby with pornstars already know where to look.    

Pornstar ads are more like FYIs than full ads.

I think the reason for the 'ad' boards is to make it easier for moderators to moderate. On the discussion boards, they moderate for discussions. On the ad boards, they only need to make sure an ad is complaint. No needs to switch the ol' noggin between 'ad' mode and 'comment' mode on the fly.

I think, at least temporarily, it's hit my local board (Chicago) and led to less discussion. It's been mentioned already a few times. Keep the PS board the way it is. Why complicate something that most of the hobbyists don't venture into, anyway?

A lot of the ads are what spur discussion on this board.  Take them away and it's going to be a lot quieter here.

Having a Porn Star Ad Board seems like a good way of organizing that particular information.  

Would there be separate sections for AGENCIES versus INDIVIDUAL PORN STAR PROVIDERS?

Then you get all the porn star reviews on one list.
