Do you gents have a preference when it comes to compensation? While I know that using credit poses a potential security threat and leaves a trail, it's also more convenient (plus, you can amortize the cost of a extended visit over the course of months, rather than having to make one lump sum payment!). Which do you gents prefer and recommend? Thx.

You are correct the only thing on the statement will be XYZ Company and amount taken.
But in the USA.... if a provider is busted for engaging in prostitution. They will look into all of her assets, companies, websites, and what not. So they will see what XYZ Company is doing and who are their clients or whom they have had transactions with. CC companies need to provide that info when asked for by the court. To me that is the issue. Again they have no idea what was the transaction. But they will dig into it and question everyone. It could be as simple as a phone call... or it could be knocking on your door. That is something I just wouldn't want to deal with.

Seriously, the ONLY hobbyists who should be concerned about leaving a paper "trail" are POLITICIANS (like the aforementioned Mr. Spitzer) or CELEBRITIES. Yet, even with celebs, the only ones who should really be concerned are those who place themselves "morally" ABOVE others, i.e. Josh Duggar or Bill Cosby. Otherwise, how many times HASN'T it been revealed that a celeb was also a hobbyist (Lamar Odom, anyone?) Aside from those unique examples, I see no need to fear leaving a paper "trail."

Not true at all...
Leaving a paper trail is BAD.
Many years ago, when LE wasn't as aggressive as they are these days, before AIDS, and before I had all this knowledge that I racked up over the years, I paid for services from a New York agency (now long gone) with a credit card. About a year later, they were busted. I got two phone calls within about two weeks: one from the agency asking if I would testify in court on their behalf that all they offered was non-sexual escort services... and the other from the New York Police Department, who wanted me to explain what I paid for - they had the name, date and credit card information. They might not have charged me, but it was definitely awkward. I told them (on the advice of a lawyer) that if they had any evidence of wrongdoing to feel free to arrest me or get a warrant but until they did, I was not going to answer their questions. They never called back.

Yeah, while I might not rule it out completely (after all, aren't we ever evolving towards a cash-LESS society?), you DEFINITELY gave me something to give pause and think about.
