with-in the last two week's i have found two other provider's that are using the name of amber lynn, in witch i made the real amber lynn aware of!! if you do also see this, please let the real amber lynn know about it by email or PMing her!!

I admire your concern for someone you obviously like, but I think you're overreacting.  The other Ambers I've seen aren't claiming to be THE Amber Lynn, or even pornstars for that matter... in fact, one of them is African American with her photos posted on her ad!  I don't think anyone is going to confuse her with the real Amber.

And what's going to be accomplished by letting Amber know about it?... There's no law against calling yourself by whatever name you want, as long as you're not attempting to defraud anyone.  For all we know one of these lady's real names may be Amber Lynn, or she may have been using the name long before the PSE Amber started advertising...

some celebrity names are considered "brand names" and are legally protected against unauthorized commercial use (like "Donna Karan") ... in fact i remember a while back Madonna sued some strip club in South Beach for use of her name

as far as porn goes i'm not sure how prevalent this is, but isn't "Jenna" now trademarked and legally protected?  i thought it was, at least against business/commercial use ... who knows, maybe Jenna's team of lawyers will also bring lawsuits against all parents who name their children "Jenna"  LOL

Since the PSE Amber Lynn has been using that nom de plume since the mid-1980's, I highly doubt that there is anyone who has had her name longer than she has.  I'm so sure of this, I'll make it my "Go to Las Vegas & Let It Ride" bet of the day.

Jenna's name might be trademarked and protected within the adult industry, but that doesn't apply to someone outside the community...

And I don't think that there are many hookers with trademarked names (other than possibly Xavier Hollander).

I agree...I am known as Amber Lynn of Chicago, an individual in my own right. In fact, before I read this post, I had no idea that there even was a porn star with the same name as I. (No offense to Amber Linn, but it's the truth). here is no need to go attacking people just because they happen to have the same name. I have a friend and an uncle, both named Joe. Should I attack my friend Joe because, since he has the same name as my uncle, he CLEARLY and OBVIOUSLY must be named Joe because he wants to impersonate my uncle. Damn. WTF, tryin to be 320 pounds, bald with a missing tooth. I should kick his a*s.

This is not meant as an attack, I just wanted to point out the ridiculousness of this post. I am quite sure that no one would EVER mistake me for the PSE Amber Lynn, or the ebony Amber Lynn, or the cockapoo Amber Lynn for that matter. (I am a fair skinned, Irish white girl with reddish hair and smallish boobs--face it, there is no comparison, though I'm sure ALL Amber Lynns are beautiful in their own right ).

when i frist saw & linked the other amber lynn, our amber did say she was going to contact her atty.
the name "amber lynn" could have a trademark.

the name 'Amber Lynn' is not trademarked.
Even if the name were trademarked, that could not force ladies to change their names or preclude parents from naming their children Amber Lynn.

If porn star Amber Lynn were to trademark her name, the use could encompass only permissible activities where she chose to appear, e.g. acting in films, appearing at events, posing of magazines, etc.
