My family and friends here in Brooklyn all seem to have gone through Sandy relatively unscathed. Some people are out of power, some have lost internet... but for the most part, most of those I know have not experienced the severe damage others throughout the region have. I feel fortunate. I am sending out a lot of love and positive energy to everyone hoping you and your families are safe.

Thanks. I've had to stop watching the news and reading reports online of damage because it had me near tears yesterday. Reminded me so much of the Northridge Quake.. Finally reached the last 2 people I was waiting to hear from. My neighborhood seems unscathed but the damage is unfathomable. Transportation is starting to pick up and there is limited train service. I hope things start to get back to normal. Lots of cancelations due to the storm of course and lots of others attempting to book due to cabin fever... unfortunately, lack of transport made things more complicated. If there are those in Brooklyn, (or can get to BK by car,) that would like to meet, let me know...
