Attaching a photo to a message ...

Hey all,

A few people have asked me about this topic, so I figured I'd post for all to see. If you are starting to feel like the guy in the image below when you try to post a photo to your TER message, then read on!

Often times, you'll open a message and see a box with a red "X" in it. This is because the poster tried to attach a photo/image that did not work properly.

Many sites, especially porn pay sites, do not allow for third party linking of images. This is done to prevent others from "stealing" their images. So, when you post a message here with a link to a photo on a porn site, you really need to check to see if the photo is appearing properly in your message. If it's not, then just hit the "Edit Message" button and try linking another photo, and repeat this process until you get one that works. But beware that even if it works, some sites have it set up to allow third party linking, but counts the times it links and stops allowing it after a few hits. Probably not much you can do about this unless you happen to return to your message and notice it.

There are a few types of sites that I seem to have more success in linking photos from:

1. PSE's personal sites
2. Provider agency sites (bodymiracle.com, bellamodels.com, etc.)
3. Provider advertising sites (eros.com, cityvibe.com, etc.)
3. myspace.com (lots of PSE's have myspace profiles set up, chock full of photos, including candids)

Other places to find photos include:

1. freeones.com
2. Google (select "Images" above search field)

In order to include a photo/image attachment to your TER message, you must have a valid web address with either a .JPG or .GIF file. Note that TER does not host any images, but rather only allows links to images. The best way to get the web address for an image is to right click on a photo on a web page, select "Properties" from the windows menu, and then copy the "Address (URL)" listed (hint - highlight it, right click, and select "Copy"). Then just go into your TER message, put your cursor in the "picture URL" field, right click, and select "Paste". Make sure that "http://" only appears once.

If all of this still fails, there is one last resort. Right click on the photo, select "Save Picture As", and save the image on your computer. Then go to a photo hosting service on the web - Ed and I use www.imageshack.us, which is free and easy. You can upload that image from your computer and get a URL Address which can be used here on TER.

Hope this all helps!

Sly
