My ISP was down for a day or so, and I come back to see a some very nasty posts on this board; we all know what thread I'm talking about.

Since moderators no longer are the ones to approve messages, there have been some things allowed to be posted that I would have NEVER approved.

And I have to say that I'm VERY disappointed in many of you for your mean-spirited comments and just plain nastiness.

Everyone has a right to post an opinion no matter how controversial, and everyone else has a right to strongly disagree and respond to it.  But understand this:  I will NOT tolerate abusive or hurtful language on this board.  Disagreements are fine, even an occasional flame war is OK as long as it's done with civility.  But nastiness and name-calling is NOT OK.

Also keep in mind that posting messages in the same thread under different aliases is against TER guidelines and is grounds for BANNING!  And believe me if I see that technique being used to perpetuate a nasty thread, I WILL have that person banned; I don't care who he is or how long he's been a member.

Also if you don't know how to conduct yourself on this board, please read the TER gidelines... mean spirited or nasty threads are not allowed (which suprises me why some of the posts were approved).

I truly feel that one of the things wrong with this country today is that we've lost our sense of grace and civility to one another.  I've been contacted by several PSEs who have told me that they're leaving TER because of the tone this forum has taken lately; for those who have contributed to that tone, I hope you're proud of yourselves.

I support civility and personal responsibility. If you break the rules you should be banned, however I expect that the rules will be fairly enforced and violators will be held accountable.

This is all about having fun and enjoying a life that allows us to partake of our favorite porn stars. The venom is not welcome. We can agree to disagree, but leave it at that. The problems arise when a couple folks disagree and each one wants the last word on a topic which is usually pretty mundane anyway.

I welcome the new era.

Go back to the way the board was. Have moderators have to approve messages. I find I frequent the board way less now that posts that would never have been approved are being posted.
