Look, I think Hef is the MAN... the guy's a legend and he changed the way America thinks about sex.  I'm sure there's a lot of girls who'd do him for the mere fact that he's Hugh FUCKIN' Hefner.  But to have three to seven live-in "girlfriends"?  Why do they do it?  For the  money.  My opinion is that they're basically full-time high-priced PSEs.  I'd venture to guess that Hef's doing it for the image more than the sex. Don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge him the ability to pull it off... where I find it embarassing is that he calls them "girlfriends".  Chris Rock once said that if O.J. wasn't a celebrity, he'd be known as Orenthal J. Simpson, the wife-murdering janitor.  If Hef wasn't Hef, he'd be Hughbert Hefner, the escort-hiring 80 year old, and no 25 year old model would look at him twice let alone be his girlfriend.  Just MHO
