Alright, well, this seems to be year for Ponzi schemes all types, of underhanded crap. I just Googled a b rated "pornstar", who I was supposed to see on New Year's, only to discover, CHLAMYDIA. Not all surprising however, since stripping was her previous profession. But seriously, she's attractive as hell, and yet, I was only a few days away, from spending a couple of hundred. Should I play this close to the chest, or give her an expose?
Since you discovered, via a Google search, that she had Chlamydia, it is a sure bet that she has been treated. Take precautions, use a condom and, if you are that concerned, get checked after the appropriate waiting time. Also, to be on the safe side, abstain from any relations with your wife of significant other. Finally, you might want to start a course of antibiotics now, although misuse of antibiotics is not a good thing to do.
As for "outing" her, what good would that serve? As a porn star, she was merely the victim of an occupational hazard. If she had a life-threatening disease such as AIDS, it might be a very different story.
My advice is to find someone else to spend New Year's Eve with. The Chlamydia thing is going to be in the back of your mind the entire time, you probably will get so worked up about it that you won't even be able to get it up and you will end up having a miserable time.
I wouldn't try publishing something like that based on a Google search if I were you. I predict that the moderator will make that post disappear so fast your head will spin.
I'm not a lawyer and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, but you're publishing something that, unless it was disclosed by the person in question publicly, is private medical information (and lawsuits about leaking this stuff aren't unheard of). That's on top of whether it may or may not be true.
If the performer in question wants to greenlight having this publicly discussed here, I'll allow it. Otherwise, keep it off this board.
I'm not going to tell people not to share information and concerns PRIVATELY if they feel it's important, and their conscience tells them it's appropriate to do so. That's up to them. I think that's part of watching out for each other in the community, being able to express concerns, even if it cannot be done in every possible forum.
But we're not going to use this board as a launching pad for rumors, whispering campaigns or what have you. Not on my watch.
