Rush is the greatest asset the Democrats have. As long as he has held up as the Poster Boy of the GOP, more and more will leave the party fed up with the loud mouthed bullying and braying. Myself? I see him no differently than Howard Stern. He is paid huge sums of money to create the kind of controversey that drives listeners to tune in allowing his corporate bosses to generate huge profits through high advertising rates. In other words, Rush is an entertainer, a fabulously wealthy and succesful entertainer. Just like Stern, although Stern took the money and lost his cultural relevance on satellite. Rush is a buffoon showman. And an asset to the Dems as such.

I USED to consider myself a Republican. The party has gone too far to the right for my tastes (I'm conservative on fiscal issues, but, by their standards, liberal on social issues like abortion).

Sending Billions of Dollars to dictators like Saddam Hussein and Muslim fanatics in Afghanistan under Ronald Reagan, only to spend Trillions to overthrow those same nutbags under Bush. Deregulation of industries, only to find out exactly why those industries were regulated in the first place.

I was only mocking the "Obama on Letterman" post from a few nights ago and it's oddly significant that the comments have all ripped apart Rush prior to anyone seeing the interview.
