Okay. I get the picture. However it can be an effective means for stopping the deportation process. When you marry a US citizen you automatically are granted residency status, which gives you the right to remain and work in the US. If it takes 5 years before you can apply for citizenship that must be the loopwhole they are trying to close to stop people from using as a means for getting citizen ship.

Again the point is, if you have friends, and one of them is willing to help you in this manner, it would put the deportation process to a halt?  Am I correct on that matter???

Anyone know if she escorts? Thanks in advance.....

Good luck getting a hold of her..........

She could easily avoid deportation by simply marrying an American. You automatically become an American citizen when you marry one.  I don't think she would have any trouble finding someone willing to volunteer.........

Marrying a citizen does not always guarantee citizenship and can further complicate matters

porn stars is correct on that...........it's harder than just buying a mariage liscense and saying some vows.

I wonder if that varies from state to state, because I thought legally that it did... What I remember is that the Government does try to validate that you are living together have knowledge of one another to validate that it is not a scam. If you do it correctly, I thought it was soundproof. Please explain..

I once hired a French girl who had married a U.S. citizen.  The marriage granted her legal residency in the U.S. but not automatic citizenship--she had go jump through many beaurocratic hoops in order to gain citizenship.

I do think it would be a halt to the deportation procedure.. Or at least dramatically slow it down..

It can't vary from State to State -- States don't grant citizenship, the Federal Goverment does.  Marrying a U.S. citizen usually gives a non-national legal residency.  The marriage is verified by INS before residency is granted. Then, you must live at least 5 years legally in the U.S. before applying for citizenship.

That is no longer true. It takes five years before a foreign national marrying an American citizen can apply for citizenship.
