not to mention that the majority of hobbyists are married men with family and kids to tend to around the holidays (shopping, travel, etc)

Everyone that has posted offers valid explanations. I've started to post my alterative take on the situation, but I've decided not to run the risk & help out people that are not as likeminded... Let's just say that with the holidays being the one time of year when the suicide rate goes up, (often caused by depression brought on by loneliness, grief, etc.,) that ladies that do provide during the holidays usually make a fair amount... certainly nothing near what they may be accustomed to in volume but enough to make the trip worthwhile...

If you are really interested in seeing a lady during this time of the year send her an email, (or let her agency know,) and propose having her tour... While she may not provide ON Christmas, New Year's Eve or Day, (or whatever special day,) you may be able to book something extremely close to the day & unwind from the hustle, bustle & annoying relatives with a pretty girl...

I will be with family for Christmas starting Dec. 22 and running through Dec. 30, (a day before my BIRTHDAY,) at home in Michigan. I don't necessarily want to advertise on a mall & get a huge influx of calls I know I won't take but I see nothing wrong with taking a day to see a regular or a new client just needs to get away as well... (I have 8 sisters ranging from 35 to 4, and 5 brothers, with several wives, husbands, nieces, nephews & misc family members to be around the whole time so I definitely understand needing a hour or two for yourself!)

You can't book half the girls directly. The agencies seem to have them locked up.
