Woah there, thirsty... As a Philadelpha guy, there's nobody I hate more than Chuckie, (except maybe Jimmy Johnson when he coached the Cowboys and the Yankees forever), but I never thought I'd see the term "over-rated" used in the same sentence with John Gruden... (But then again, I never thought that I'd see that same term used in the same sentence with Donovan McNabb, either... )

Your real first name wouldn't hapen to be Rush, by any chance, cleverly disguising yourself as a Boston guy?  If so, I have some Oxycontin I'm looking to move... PM me! - LOL

Maybe with a GFE this is only possible. Longer, slower, time to savor moments, a more lenghty time together.

But the grind must happen, shots have to be taken, scoring when it matters most before time runs out.  One needs strength, stamina and perseverance.

4:00 minutes to go, down three scores!

No time before in NFL history has a football team come back 21 points down with less than four minutes and won the game.

History was made on Monday night. Colts defeating the Bucs in Tampa Bay.  Coach Dungy of the Colts former head man in Tampa Bay for years, on his birthday, gets an incredible road win against a defense he helped create in scheme and players.

All athletes should take a lesson from a game like that.  Some of those players were juiced!  Some need the blue pill and other kinds of help.

Being down three scores with 4 minutes to go, takes almost beyond human effort to pull it off.  Guys have to train to make that happen.  Be it steriods or viagra, those substances only inhance what's there.

Down three scores with four minutes to go in a GFE, it will waste all participants definately.

No player in that long crazy comeback win for the Colts left anything on the field.  Even guys who didn't play much had to be jumping up and down and gryrating so hard as 28 points were scored in the fourth quarter, they were hoarse and tired from being overly excited for a long time.  Players on the field could barely walk off the field, but it had to be a so satisfying win.

A devasting loss for the Bucs, they can rub their Superbowl rings a little more tomorrow, forgetting the greatest comeback ever really happened.

Bucs will surely point to the bad call in overtime. But that wasn't why 28 points got scored on them in the fourth quarter.

Colts even lost the coin flip in overtime and that usually means nearly an automatic win for the team that won the coin flip. NFL  is first team scores any points in overtime, that team wins the game.

4 minutes to go having a GFE..its proven now what effort should happen!

After watching the Red Sox clutch win, my evening got that much better watching the most over-rated coach in the NFL go down to defeat. How appropriate that it was Tony Dungy who beat him since he didn't get enough credit for the job he did in Tampa. As for "Chuckie," I still see him as the coach who should have been fired in Oakland after losing 3-4 down the stretch two years ago. People talk about the "tuck rule" play as the reason why Oakland lost to the Pats but, if Gruden knew how to put teams away, that play never would have happened. I don't know who is going to be in the SB this year, but it won't be the Bucs!

Hey you two, thristy and Mr Parliament, if you want to talk sports, go to the Boston board, thats what it was created for. Where the hell is the moderator when you really need him, or better yet, why the hell do we need him, if he is going to allow this kind of trash talk on the porn star board(ROTFLMAO)

as always
HAPPY HUNTING

Gruden is overrated ? He won a Super Bowl ring with basically the same talent Dungy had.Dungy lost his job because he couldnt win in the playoffs have you ever seen his playoff record ? He has the 2 worst defeats in Playoff history  and I am a  Colts Fan

I don't like the guy, but if the offense in Tampa Bay (mostly passing game) had not gotten better, which it did, they would not have won the Super Bowl, I don't think they would have with Dungy, not close. Now, don't get me wrong I like Dungy a lot more than Gruden as a person and I have a lot more respect for defensive minds being that I was linebacker myself and Dungy is perfect fit in Indy, The offense is allready there (Marvin Harrison,OMG, What an incerdible WR) and he brings that big D mind set that that team needed bad. Both Tampa Bay and Indy are better for having the head coaches that they have now.

Being a Philly guy you must love Dungy he didnt give you much trouble  when he was with Tampa Bay...

Now don't compare me to Rush! What he said about McNabb was ridiculous. I admit I would take Steve McNair or Aaron Brooks over Donovan lately. (I'll bet Rush wouldn't have room on his roster for McNair or Brooks either.

Back to Chuckie...he should have been fired in Oakland. He took over in Tampa with an established defense. The last three SB champs won with their defense. Their offenses got on a roll at the right time. Tampa will find what the Patriots found. When every team brings its "A" game to you, it isn't so easy to repeat. I don't know who is going to The Dance this year but it won't be Chuckie and the Bucs.

thirsty

I think he has a bit of a point here, not so much that it's a black QB, but that the media does saddle up and ride some people into the ground allmost to the piont that when Vick got hurt I thought "AT least I won't have to hear about him for a few weeks", Don't get me wrong I never wish injury on anyone, I had both my knees blown out playing football and it ain't fun (not at the same time, that would be a record of some kind), but then some guys like Ray Lewis had to go out and destroy every running back in the NFL, pretty much put the fear of god in Eddie George and help a team win a Super Bowl with nothing but  a defense that he is no doubt the leader of, before he earned his rightfull place with the greatest who have ever played the game (no matter what what they played, QB, Linebacker, WR), They didn't just hand it to him, he went out and did it the right way, he earned it.

All this being said, I am a McNabb fan, No he's not Farve, or McNair, but is pretty good and I also agree with Al Frankin Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot. No he may not be near as fat anymore, but come on, you know the second part is true...

After all they are the only reason they won it. I loved watching the Pats win the Super Bowl vs the very overrated Rams, but that call was the reason that they got to the Super Bowl and remeber I'm a Ravena fan not a Raiders fan, but it's the truth

I would love to see A Cubs vs Sox world series, niw that would be one I'd watch, Who the hell besides Yankees fans want to see the Yankees take on the F'n Marlins, YUCK!!!

That claim always has and always will belong to the Steel Curtain.

How about the Super Bowl Champion Bears?

No 2000 Ravens, Hands down, for a single season you can't top em

Both the Bears and Ravens had great defenses, but were one trick ponys.  The Steel Curtain won 4 Super Bowls (back-to-back twice) and have 4 players from that defense in the Hall of Fame and 2 other players who have been finalists.  In 1976, after starting 1-4, they proceeded to win 9 in a row.  During that winning streak, they gave up a grand total of 28 points, including 5 shutouts and 3 shutouts in a row.  They are the measuring stick to which all other defenses are compared to.

I agree the Steel Curtain was awesome but remember we are in a different era and they didnt have a salary cap.The salary cap makes it almost impossible to keep the same team or a good team  together for a period of time.

Yes, The Ravens lost Kim Herring to the Rams and they had to use at best a second string saftey to take his place and payed for it.
