Has anyone in the Porn Industry had the problem with another site claiming to be your official website? Or have any of you guys noticed a PS that has more than one official site?

I am having this problem right now with another site that claims to be Paola Rey's Official Website and, on top of that, they're doing false claims about chat, Custom POV with me, etc...

This is really bad because guys go there requesting memberships, signed items and other things and get old pictures and fake stuff. Then they get disappointed, thinking I'm behind it.

I'm in the process of dealing with this now and hopefully won't have this problem in the future. Would like to hear other views on the matter and just how frustrating it is for you guys.

So please do not associate me with ClubPaolaRey.com as it's a fake.

Sorry to hear your troubles Paola. Actually I never really thought about this possibility until you just posted this. Since it is the internet and there is as much false information out there as true, I would guess this is a problem for others too.

The only thing I can think of would be to send a message to the members of your current site letting them know you have no part or association with that website. Try and sue the people behind the other false official website. Maybe post a message on the front page of your site also stating you have no association with that other site.

I wish you luck in taking down those scum that are falsely using your name for profit.

 That really stinks that those scum are taking advantage of your beauty and fame as well as screwing over YOUR fans.  I hope you sue their pants off and get this straightened out.

 I DO know one other girl who is having a similar problem.  She worked with some people and they put up a site (about her) together.  Later, when she wanted to make changes and/or update the site, etc. they refused and are basically blowing her off.  Now she is no longer associated with the site but they refuse to take it down so now they're making the money and she and her fans are getting screwed too.

P.S. I just checked and www.freeones.com has that fake site you mentioned listed as your "official" website.  You might want to correct them.

Good advice, granik. I work with Paola and we did contact Freeones and as long as that other site lists itself as her "official site" then that's what they go by. The false site will have to change it first for Freeones to make the change.

We are definitely taking action against that site, as well as any other site/person who has similar ideas of how to capitalize on Paola's image.

Paola will keep you all posted about the outcome on this board.

You may want to have an attorney write them a legal letter requesting that they remove the "official site" tag immediately. You may not be able to get them to pull the site, just the "official" part.

Sometimes people respond to a legal letter from a lawyer from a lawyer before it ever becaomes an expensive court case. I have done the lawyer in my office a lot of favors, I will ask him what the options are and maybe if he can write off a quick letter.

You never know. These people are taking terrible advantage of everyone and need to be stopped.

Thank you so much for the kind offer, but I already have a lawyer on the case. He's written the letter and is prepared to go to court, if necessary. I agree that these people need to be stopped. Since this particular guy has already served time for fraud, I doubt he wants to end up back in jail, so I'm hopeful the matter will be fixed quickly.
