I would bet this is just a case of the domain registration expiring "accidentally". It happens a lot and just recently happened to a local agency I know of.
Does anyone know if My Platinum Provider is done for good? I was on the site yesterday, as I am planning a trip to LA. Went back today and was getting a 'domain for sale' page. It indicated the registration expired on 08 MAR 14.
