I can't believe it's been eight years since the 9/11 attacks.  It seems like it was yesterday.

A few years ago when I was in NYC with Alex Arden, we visited the site of the twin towers.  A very sombering experience, something that everyone who visits NYC should make a point to do.

So this is in rememberance of those who lost their lives in the planes, the towers and the pentagon, and to remember the heros of United flight 97 who saved so many lives at the sacrifice of their own.

It's a shame that the fellowship and single-mindedness as a country that we gained from that experience has been lost...

Nice post, my man. As a person who lived in a great apartment at, ironically enough, 911 Maiden Lane (with a spectacular of the monolithic towers at the time), this is a most reflective day for me. That was a really nice post, and I, for one, thank you for expressing such raw sentiments on the board. Very humanizing.

I wish I had words of consolation for everyone besides, "Don't give it up yet".

I hope we never forget. More important is that we never let it happen again.

Amen.  I watched the whole thing happen live from about 500 yards away.  It still is surreal to me, and i know i still have the emotional scars from it.

Kind of puts everything else in the proper perspective.

Peace.
