One thing you might not be aware of is that a large, and by large, I mean about 80% of the ads for PS in an ad mall that are independent are really agency run ads.  Especially those ads with only emails, you may note how they all look very similar. So a lot of ads that look like they are independent are really agency ads pretending to be independent.

If those of you who happen to comment about how I may have wasted time or unable to prove that she was booking for a lower rate had bothered to check the link I  included it would have shown you a site that has a link to her reviews on another review site. Several guys booked her for 350/hr. I called the day she posted on Cityvibe’s Erotic Services in which the ad stated 300. I am guessing that she most likely had a special that day as well on HX for the same if not lower rate. I just calculated my tolerance point at leaving one v-mail and then trying again later that day, if I did not get a return call then I move on as she is not a top shelf name (Yes hot) and I have some girls in my book that are of similar body type. Who knows if I had been more persistent then I may have seen her for the 300.
Therefore her having reviews on another review site by others for a lower rate invalidates I_Think_Its_Her and Silly_Alias_man’s arguments. Bottom line is agency fees are IMHO over the top and sometimes unnecessary. If the girl is able to book direct then it should be encouraged, some just can’t do it and I understand that. I wonder if the agency will ask her to take down the site I linked and have her reviews on the other board removed.

So you expect agencies to do all the work they do for free and out of the goodness of their heart?

The site you gave us had no rates info and the other review site has no links to any ads with any rates info. I would really like to see the Cityvibe ad but I couldn't find it.

Anyway, maybe she was available for less but I haven't seen anything that says that she is now available for less. I'm not saying she was never available for 350, I'm just saying that I don't see anything saying she is available for less right now.

My argument was that rates change with popularity, if you can point out to me how that is invalidated I would love to see it. But seeing how Victoria Sin has done a lot more stuff recently and that the reviews claiming 350 are all over 6 months old, you just don't know.

If you want to talk savings, Instead of booking girls independently we all should just fly to London, see 3 PS there, and it will be cheaper than booking them indy here.

BTW... the savings for not booking minus your phone fees was just a joke. I meant no offense.

I do not expect agencies to work for free, not sure where I either implied or directly stated such. I said “again, why pay the agency mark up?” implying that they should try direct avoiding the agency all together. I understand the risk they take in booking some of these girls who are not always known for their reliability on any front. I have heard the complaints how some will accept production bookings, fly out to Fl or here to LA and not show up to shoot the scene. I recall one guy bitched because one gal cashed in her ticket never showing up for the shoot! Of course I am referring to actual production and not the hobby. We all have read the horrors of some of our brothers being flaked on and sometimes robbed of their deposit by an indy.  I am saying that if a girl can be booked independently and professional then do so and yes some mark ups are outrageous.

I do not know if the “girlnextdoor” site was ever meant to show a rate, it is used by some girls as just a place to post pics and contact info. I have noticed that several hx girls using the site which brings up why you do not see ads for the other review site. That site does not have links to ads but to a profile in which the girl can then post ads in the desired section like the LA or OC section and some girls do not post rates and some do. You have to “PM” them sometimes asking for the rate, my guess is it depends on demand of the moment. The ads are only valid for set time as they expire. Some are only valid for a day or hours while others may last for days. But that review page shows the average amount spent ($341.00 for 63 minutes); don’t ask me how that is calculated. And at the very bottom are three reviewers reporting what they paid, two show $350.00/hr and one shows $300.00/hr.  My understanding is the review site is a sister site just for reviews to the hx site where they post ads. The city vibe ad may be gone my now but again there is a reported session at $300.00/hr.

You are correct that nothing currently shows her market price as an independent or that she is still one but I wanted to share the info with my fellow hobbyists. Some may try her via the “girlnextdoor” site and with luck they get to book her for less. Why not try.
I agree with you that demand drives price and if her popularity has risen in the last few months generating demand then great for her. The same applies if her popularity drops, she will want those direct bookings.

About booking a PS in London; I agree that with some especially the girls that only book via agencies with outrageous fees then you are saving money even with the current exchange. But that hotel bill for a decent place in London may offset the savings. I do not know about you but I am based in LA and especially recently, some girls are asking for lower than the agency rate. If you can provide decent references and use them to book, you can save yourself serious $.

Thank for explaining you meant no offense and I the same. My intent has always been to share what info I can with my fellow hobbyists. Some girls work hard at being independent and should be rewarded for that and especially if an agency girl is available as an independent then that should be shared with the board. I think it was FastEddie that explained how booking direct helps the girl out as she keeps the entire fee.

Those of us who follow this board all know KR may be the biggest bargain hunter and colletor of non-UTR direct contact info among us (well, at least we know it is an area of distinct interest for him and that he gladly shares what he knows) -- if someone had sent him direct contact info for Victoria Sin for The 300 Club thread I am sure he would have gladly used it.  

Guys need to be sharing their great finds on this boar when they come across them!  Which will help make this Board the one-stop location for pornstar hookup info nationwide that it should be . . . .

Well as far as rates go, it appears that Kevin was able to negotiate a lower than advertised rate when he called the agency.

The reason TLC doesn't post rates is because it can be negotiated. If they'll get your return business they might lower their agency fees, or, if the girl is willing she might lower her fees as well.

when I see a provider that gives me a deal, I only put her listed rate and not what I actually paid as that was between the 2 of us.  For example, when I saw Katja for the second time, she gave me an excellent price for an hour and a half. Another provider that I saw charged me about 70% less but in the review I still listed her posted rate.

I'd say perhaps you should read my response again but it seems to have disappeared along with apparently a few posts by others.  I made 1 general reference to the rate but it was a minor point.  Notwithstanding that, the reviews on HX are over 6 months old and, in fact, her HX profile has not been updated in 6 months.  Given that active girls on HX seem to update their profiles often, if not multiple times per day, it would seem likely the info there is stale at best.

Beyond that, my main point was that KR was able to book her through the agency with little to no trouble and in fact got their help in working through a few logistical issues.  Regardless of how persistent you were or were not, you tried to go direct and did not end up seeing her.  You seem to say you called once or twice and left messages, but never heard back.  KR called once or twice, did hear back and did end up seeing her.  That's the value of the agency, which is what you were questioning in the first place.  If you had other girls available to you that you considered as good or better options, good for you but it really is irrelevant to the discussion.  You asked "Why pay the agency fees?"  The answer is because in the 1-2 phone calls made, KR was able to see Victoria and got some help with the logistics of his particular situation.  You did not hear back after the 1-2 phone calls you made.  

Okay, Generalisimo,...feel free to now write another 2000 word post about why you're right....lol

For all the others, do not let the agency shills using chicanery make you think agencies are the only game in town. I remember the days when you had to meet the talent in person and work your own deal, then came Nici’s Girls.

Agencies aren't the only game in town, that is true, but to say that those standing up for the agency are shills is disingenuous. I assume you have never used TLC, so what qualifies you to say that their fees are over the top and not worth it? I have used them and they were not only fantastic, but they earned every single penny of the low fee they charged.

I bet the guy that got ripped off by Jenny Hendrix last week wished he had booked her through an agency. The unfortunate fellow didn't see a girl, lost his donation, and almost got physically assaulted. Obviously this is not the norm and I'm not saying it is, but it does happen.

To your response I'd just say to all others, don't let people turn you off to agencies and make you feel you are getting ripped off. If you want to insure the girl shows up, or see some exclusive talent, or better yet, have access to UTR ladies, then an agency is a good option.

Some agencies, I agree, charge a very steep fee and we all know who those are, but others like TLC and Real Entertainment don't charge such a high fee.

I never said that particular agency was over the top and I do not agree that I am being disingenuous. I was speaking in general as the majority do levy hefty fees. Lela Star for 2k by Lourdes, that is IMHO excessive. And your point is understood, as I have said some talent just cannot handle booking independently and as we know not all “independent” girls are truly indy. Also you assumed correctly, I have never used the two agencies you mentioned.  Perhaps one day I will give in and it is good to know that they are reasonable.

I feel for the fellow hobbyist that was robbed by Jenny Hendrix, had a search of this board been done he would have seen the post stating that she has done this in the past and I recall other posts but as she is not my type I cannot recall verbatim. Of course I see she is attractive so maybe she charmed him into believing the stories untrue, I can see that happening. I have heard many excuses about negative reviews and reports that it was anywhere from a BF never told her she had the booking and he ran off with the deposit to my {insert family member, car or pet} was sick/inoperable and I could not follow through with the session. But deposits are a whole other issue and have been debated many times as well.

What I find funny is when I see a PS being represented by an agency in a city and you will see in another ad mall the same PS for less and booking herself. Oh and when both are on the same ad mall; that has happened a few times over the years on Eros. Come on, too funny.  I will admit that it gets interesting when John A books thru the agency while John B books thru the PS.

I am off to get boozed up and make a poor decision with a slightly mentally unstable hot woman.

Saw her at the Beverly Center In Los Angeles earlier today. She is stunning. I am sure she is about to make a splash here. She is being rep by a top notch Agency.

I hope she RE-enters Porn as well. Truly as for me I would rather work with the few agencies that exists right now. I am not going to do what I do with HX girls at 300 smelly roses who just got seeing 7 guys in a cheap Motel. Motel 6 don't leave the lights on for me I ain't coming. Victoria must have  have woke up and smelled the coffee and get off whatever she was on. She looked super hot like the earlier days. I have to see this in private.
