Islam is a religion of INTERNAL peace.  Much like Buddhism, it seeks to impart upon the individual adherent a feeling of surety.  Where does one go after death?  The Good go to paradise.  Who determines what is good?  All goodness comes from Allah.  How does one become good?  Only Allah knows.  How can I know if I am good?  The good are those who submit their lives to the will Allah.  What is the will of Allah?  The will of Allah is revealed in the Book (Koran).  What is the Book?  The Book is the will of Allah as revealed to Mohammed.  Who is Mohammed?  He is the messenger of Allah.  What is this message?  That there is no God but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger.

That, in a nutshell is the "philosophical" foundation of Islam.

No kidding, huh?  I guess his gunmen had "inner peace" when they murdered those people.  To honor their inner peace, I'm inspired to go leave a sculpture of Mohammed steaming in the toilet bowl this morning.

  If only I spent more times in college paying attention in all those philosophy & comparative religion classes I sat thru I could spout of a bunch of pseudo-intellectual nonsense to ! I guess I really should read a book one of these day but I'll be honest thinking makes my head hurt that's why I try to just stick to the ones with pictures .

Now guys you're all being to hard on him ! I first thought he was a troll too but after seeing more of his posts I can see he's just a pilgrim on the path of knowledge . Whether that be his expertise on religion or the economics of the porn star escort industry from prior posts he's just here to teach us .
   
I mean here I thought the 9/11 hijackers were just a bunch of murderous hypocritical assholes but when he showed me it was really just a test of their faith to hang out in a strip club "no different then a bachelor party " before they went of to cold bloodedly murder thousands of innocent people he really opened my eyes . Wait, let me explain it again for those who were home schooled.  The 9-11 hijackers were a jihadists.  The current concept of holy wars and martyrdom is something learned from Christians, particularly the Crusaders (who had all sins, debts, and taxes forgiven by the Pope in return for service, plus a guarantee of eternal salvation).  After getting bombed by the Clinton adminstration in 1998, Osama bin-Laden issued his Second Fatawa (not to be confused with his 1996 one) against America.  Known as the Statement of The World Islamic Front, it was a legal finding declaring it a necessity for every individual Muslim to kill Americans and their allies, regardless of their being civilian or military.  It was under that finding (that the world is a free-fire zone) that the 9-11 hijackers carried out their operation.  After 9-11, Al-Qaeda developed a more sophisticated process for testing potential martyrs, but at that time it was up to Mohammed Atta and his comrades to determine for themselves the degree of their faith.  They had to decide if they really believed in martyrdom, paradise, jihad, the Message -- and particularly the jurisprudence of Osama Bin Laden.  They had a long time to come to grips with it and in the end they were at peace believing that they were doing what was expected of a conscientious Muslim.  Thus, they would have been hypocrites had they not executed their mission.

Note that 17 years later there has been no general campaign of violence against the American people waged by regular Muslims, so, obviously, Osama was not a convincing jurist.

What makes them hypocrites is the fact their culture claims  to obsess about the virtues of women some even going to the lengths of covering them head to toe so they can't be defiled and then turn around and fly "whores" in by the plane load and travel to Europe to get drunk and chase women .  
  What made the 9/11 hijackers hypocrites was that these  supposed "soldiers for god" spent there last night on earth honoring their devout religious beliefs  by drinking and have a bunch of young twenty somethings grind on their laps . No one cares that a bunch of mass murders stayed true to their ideologue by killing thousands of people !

Maybe you missed the parts about jihad and martyrdom?  Martyrs don't even die, they are supposedly translated to heaven in a state of grace.  If the hijackers don't believe that, then messing around in a strip club is a serious offense and they don't go there.  The purpose of that last temptation is to remind themselves of what they will be rewarded if they have faith (as well as what they abandon if they don't).  The Islamic concept of Paradise is an orgy, the Elect are allowed by Allah all the freedoms they were denied by their adherence to him in mortal existence.  They can get high, have sex, and do just about anything.
