Just curious to hear some thoughts on what constitutes a pornstar.

Occasionally, I see ads in my city for pornstars, but I can't find any info on them.  Finally after a lot of looking I find a couple of third tier movies they are in.

So I guess my question is, are you a "pornstar" the moment you are filmed having sex?  If that's the case, wouldn't Kendra or paris be more of pornstars than some who "starred" in, I don't know...Butthole Hookers # 31?

And is a bench player in the major leagues a baseball star?

Anyway, just wanted to hear some thoughts on it.

Maybe I can get some backing to dub the term, "Porn Semi-Pro"?

Are you talking for labeling purposes on this board, or are you talking about being considered a PS within the industry? Big difference.

I wouldn't expect you to find an ad for most industry porn stars.

I've only see a handful of major industry porn stars .  Most where UTR.  All were only available through an intermediary.

Folks complain about agencies and their affect on rates.  However, what these whiners fail to consider is that the porn star wants someone to guarantee that the fan they are about to meet is OK and easy to deal with.

The girls with contracts have to be careful not to violate provisions of these contracts. Porn has also become a way to break into mainstream media and the last thing these ladies want would be to have their names associated with anything illegal.
