Hell hath no fury like when the AHF is scorned...They have had a serious agenda against AIM for quite some time...

No doubt LA County is playing hardball especially when there are probably upteen restaurants (in LA county) w/safety violations & are open for business, hospitals and personal care centers that abuse/neglect patients, and probably one of the worst prison systems in all of the country, - and they go after AIM...

I leave for vacation next week, so i was e-mailing a couple regulars to see what they wanted me to do about testing if AIM (bring one from local medical center or get one from place they recommend) were not open..Hoping for the usual 4-5 appts., but probably won't be able to see any new people if AIM isn't open...

I sort of knew this was going to happen a while ago.  I've said before that AIM was violating several laws in the way it does business and this just supports my claim.

I don't think it's necessarily the health department playing hardball as it is just trying to enforce the laws that everyone else operates under.

I suspect the final outcome of this will be one of three possibilities:

1.  AIM moves its headquarters to another state, probably Nevada

2.  The porn industry moves its operations to another state, probably Nevada (Note: there's a lot of porn being filmed in other states now so moving production companies to another state probably isn't a big deal)

3.   Both of the above.

About #2, any chance it moves to one of those small counties where ranches operate? Seems like it would be a helpful (and legal) consolidation given the nature of this specific board...

The draw can be given at any of a number of medical labs around the LA area, with AIM providing you the results.

All,

I believe you can get your blood drawn all over the country and have AIM provide the results.  When I was living in Northern California I called them, and they asked my whereabouts, and gave me 3-4 labs near me that I could use (they were all within 20 minutes of me).  I would suggest calling them and seeing if this is still a practice of theirs.

Re: providers, as has been discussed, some girls have had a somewhat irrational trust of AIM and wouldn't accept tests from elsewhere, but I image most know of at least one backup place.  I would ask the provider where she will be testing/where she would accept a test from, and as backup have the name and maybe website of a place and ask her if she would approve.
