I've just completed my public date with a "famous" PSE which included a dinner date at a public location.  As I was skeptical at first because this was my first time, I came to realize that most of the general public would not know a "famous" PSE if they saw one.  They are famous to us, and those within the hobby, but i think for the general public, when they see you with a PSE, they just think that you are with an extremely attractive girl.  I thought that there would be a lot of people going up to the PSE asking for photographs and trying to talk to her, but that was not the case at all.  Unless you are taking someone like Jenna Jameson out, who is known by everyone, I think that most of the PSE's that you take on a public date would not be recognized by the general public.

Also, when people see the famous PS in the movies, magazines, etc., they are all dolled up with extra make-up and have sexy outfits on etc.  In public, they are usually dressed normal like other women.  Finally, some people do notice them but are embarrased to mention to their friends, family, co-workers, etc. because the are porn stars.  Not I, I bartended at a place near Baltimore and had Chayse Evans come in 4 or 5 times.  I enjoyed taking care of her, talking with her and letting some close friends that we had one of the hottest porn stars on the planet hanging out in bar!!!

very true..no one knows they are a porn star..you blend right in..they are always a fascinating date..they are as normal as every other girl on the planet..that is until you get to your room and relive one of her scenes in private..no civie can ever match that..

Well, maybe most people wouldn't recognize a porn star, a Penthouse model or a Playboy model if they saw them out and about but they do tend to draw attention  Some of them, even when they're "dressed down".

Case in point:  I was out to lunch one day with Eden Adams.  If you don't know her, she's a gorgeous, tall, thin blonde.  She was a Penthouse Centerfold in June 2011 IIRC.  Anyway, we had finished eating, and were heading out the door.  She led and I followed.

Sitting at one of the tables we passed was a businessman - white shirt, tie, etc. sitting and eating a sandwich.  As Eden passed, he had just taken a bite of the sandwich.  As I was walking behind Eden, I saw him turn his head to follow her as she walked by, looking at her rear, with his eyes bulging, mouth hanging open and food sitting there unchewed.  It was a classic cartoon move - the only thing missing was his eyes popping a foot out of his head.

After I left, I laughed hysterically.  He probably had no idea who she was but it was funny as hell.

While it's generally true, I can give you two examples - and maybe it's just that everyone in Houston is a porndog.  Was out at a steakhouse with Sativa Rose a few years ago, and had several guys in the place continue to do "drive by's" of the table going back to the restroom several times just to get a glimpse.  From the expressions on their faces, I'm 99% certain they recognized her.  And just last year, I took Jynx Maze to a local Peruvian place when she was in town dancing, and most of the male waitstaff recognized her, came up and asked for her autograph, etc.  However, I've also been to dinner with Shayla Sandz both here and in Dallas with no known recognition by others.  We even shopped in an adult store here, bought one of HER movies with her on the cover, and the sales clerk was still clueless.  It was hilarious that someone like her could go so incognito!

And it's always been a hoot. The best was one time when I was having dinner with Venus and I watched the dawning realization of a guy at a table next to ours. Started with him looking at her, then away with a bit of a puzzled look, obviously thinking, "where do I know her from?" Kept looking over and then another look of "Ohhh, that's where!" It actually happpened a couple of times with her and I felt like going over while they were still sorting out and suggesting, "picture her eating a banana, it'll come to you!"

...given that the PS world is rather niche...I would say the majority of them are unrecognizable in public.

I agree, even though 80% of the population watches porn, most do not follow specific actresses, or become familiar with the actual names and who the PS's are.  it is only the niche population like us who actual know the names of specific actresses.  therefore when you take a PS out on a public date, you will attract a lot of attention, but only becuase the PS is attractive.  Most will not know what she does for a living
