I get the fact that an UTR lady doesn't want her name known. But, when inquiring about an URT lady, do you ask for a photo? Or do you take her description "on faith" and hope for the best? I'm a bit confused on how the process would work vs. contacting Lita or Demi or Pam about a lady who's "above the radar" and has photos on various sites.

Well, since this is the porn star board I am assuming that you would be inquiring about a UTR porn star. If you know who you are looking to see wouldn't it follow that you are familiar with her work?

But if you are talking about an UTR model, you will probably not know her real or modeling name.  I have always asked for a picture and never been refused.  Sometimes the face is blurred but you can generally tell if the person is a model or not - quality of the picture, etc.  And yes there is an element of trust in doing this - trust that the person on the other end will be honest and trust that you will honor the person's wish to remain UTR.  One additional point: I met a VERY UTR model recently.  I knew her name and her professional pictures were beyond stunning.  But when I walked in the room, my first reaction was that she did not look exactly like her pictures.  But after a few minutes of talking and looking at her, I realized that she was not wearing much makeup.  She was still incredibly drop dead gorgeous but in a plainer sort of way.  Would I book her again? Oh YEH!

I think that can be said for just about anyone. People would be amazed at what Photoshop and a good airbrushing will do to a picture.

Sorry, I should've been clearer. I meant when a lady is advertised on Lexi's, Demi's, etc. site as "an UTR blonde" meaning I don't know who she is or what she looks like.

Well, if you contact Lexxi or Demi and are seriously interested, they'll "reveal" who the UTR is... then you can judge for yourself.  No one, Demi, Lexxi, Lita, etc. expects you to book a girl "sight unseen"
