I would be interested in hearing others opinion on whether this thesis might shed some light on the rate difference.
In Europe, providers are not targeted with prosecution the way they are in this country. The "sex-trade" as the media labels it, is legal in many Euro countries.
Perhaps the rates are lower because of the climate that sex isn't as big of a deal there,it's much more in your face in many countries in Europe than it is here, where it is much more discreet.
Maybe I am way off base with that one, any thoughts???
IMHO your reasoning is probably accurate. The result of that Euro-attitude is that the supply maybe greater and certainly the negative consequences are less for the probider. So bottom line the difference is a matter of what teh market will bear (or bare in this case).
